It won't look anything like that. Just like all the flying cars we were promised but don't see, as well as teleportation, and food in capsule form. I don't know what all these scientists are working on, but someone needs to kick them into gear on the important stuff. I should be working on Mars by now dammit.
Like so many of the awesome scientific discoveries we hear about, I am sure this one will fade away and nothing useful will ever come of it. For some reason all the coolest stuff we have heard about has vanished and been forgotten. I would start shouting conspiracy but I honestly think it is just lazy scientists.
@derekhaltom: For those interested, you can find the guy that made this one at edcforums.com. User MattW. [edcforums.com]
I have mine in a custom made titanium capsule that I wear around my neck 24/7. It is sealed so as to be completely waterproof. On it are the various files I need, software that I frequently use, as well as any pertinent medical and contact info should the worst happen.
No. The future is not here yet. I say this because as I child I was promised flying cars, jetpacks, and food in capsule form. Until those things are available commercially, the future isn't here. And if it doesn't happen soon, I am going to start kicking scientist ass.
I got stung by a tree once. I applied an axe. Liberally. To the tree...

It weighs a ton, but I have yet to find the situation where I didn't have what I needed to make sure I get internet.

@bluegene: Yeah, and Taskix has been compatible with 64-bit for awhile now. And my favorite feature isn't that it lets you rearrange the taskbar, it is how you can middle click to close an item on the taskbar.
I have taken a hammer to a pc before because the side panel refused to come off. (And yes, I removed the screws.) I know your pain.
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like this just put us exactly where we started out at, with "Sylar" on his way to presidency? To me it kinda screams "do-over".
Holy shit! There's a scientist in my house!
I don't think gift cards are that bad of an idea. Last year for my birthday I let everyone I know that I was wanting to get a new monitor at our local Sams, and then I either got money or a Sams gift card. When the birthday rolled around, I had enough to get a pretty decent monitor, everyone had a really easy time picking out what they were going to get me, and then we all got drunk.

That to me is a perfect birthday, with perfect gifts given.

Every last one of you should be ashamed of yourselves. Yes, it wasn't as gripping as A New Hope, no it didn't have the awesome story that Empire did, but dammit, it is part of the sacred trilogy that the vast majority of us worship, and that makes it damn fine to me.

Now the prequels, well, I am all for some dvd burnings and erasing that from human existence...

Just wanted to go on record with a vast number of the other users on here and state that I don't really watch tv either. What I do, and have done for the last year, is download everything I want via TED and uTorrent, and watch it via XBMC or on the 360 downstairs. I was going to put together a HTPC and dump Boxee on it specifically for Hulu, but if the "content providers" want to axe that, fine.

They are going from someone that was willing to watch a few commercials to someone that now will not be seeing any. I can understand how Hulu would cause them to lose revenue as it gains in popularity, but as people gain more knowledge in this area, and doing things this way gets easier and easier, they are going to end up losing even more.

Welcome to Lifehacker! Your site and information has been a lifesaver too many times to count, and I really look forward to seeing more of that here.
So long as he doesn't screw it up. I was never a Thor fan, until I started reading the latest volumes, and now it is one of my favorites.
How am I supposed to have butter left to put on the cheese when I keep using it all on my bacon?
@rhinovalley: The basic contact manager that comes with the phone allows me individual ringtones. What I am after is something that will give me individual SMS tones, and the default doesn't do that. Also, I want to see if a ringtone manager can keep the ringtones the same for contacts through a soft reset as the best ROM I have used had issues with the ringtones changing back to the default one after a soft reset (NATF v2.3). I can't seem to get it fixed on the ROM side, so I am trying to find a program that will take care of it.
Anyone have any decent suggestions for a ringtone manager for Windows Mobile 6? I have an AT&T Fuze (with custom ROM of course) but would really like something that would let me set individual sms tones for different contacts or groups.
Thanks for all you have done, and I am looking forward to continuing to read some of the awesome stories you blog about.
