Is it me...or do a lot of shows on ABC seem to have a lot of flash back cut scenes?

here is the plot.
Bunch of people run out of gas. They search a near by farm for supplies. They find some Ted Kazinsky clone who also happens to be a lifetime member of the NRA. The survivors befriend "Ted". One them also lets out a huge fart causing it to draw attention of the zombies roaming the woods. One by one they start to die off...or undie off...errr. One person survives and we get to hear an ear full of their lame inner dialogue. THE END!
Though going to mars seems like a cool and pioneering thing to do...its a waste of resources and money. How about we focus on fixing problems here on Earth.
