where I live we don't have game stores, check my reply to X3rx3s. Still i might be able to get a copy... I love the first two games... I want them to get my money. But I don't want them to think its ok to do what they're doing.
In my country we don't have game stores, the whole gaming culture is barely alive (Argentina) And Steam is the best way i've got to but games with no problems. I want the developers to get my money. Even more when they deserve it like Bioware. But the whole removing games from steam and forcing origin on people... I feel like I need to show my disagreement by NOT giving them my money.

PS: Sorry for the bad english.

I hate that EA forces me to torrent this game instead of letting me buy it on Steam.
looks like I have a new item on my wishlist.
"happy to partner with any download service that does not restrict our ability to connect directly with our consumers."
The fact that you force your customers to get origin for BF3 and now ME3 means you already DON'T have a direct connection with your customers :P
(Unless you count Stockholm Syndrome)

PS: Torrent.

I WILL BUY THE SHIT OUT OF THIS!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!
FUCK YEAH! I loved that game. It wasn't perfect but it had so much potential. And I want to know how the story continues. Please powers that be... make it happen.
To everyone in this article's comments. This is a LEGAL MATTER not a MORAL one. It's not about evil intentions it's about business and the legal impact in future business. I think that Notch is only fighting this one so hard because he's not fully aware of the damage he can cause. And Zenimax is also fighting this not because of Notch but because it might leave an open door for someone who really is looking for an easy buck and screw someone over.

TL;DR: LEGAL MATTER != MORAL MATTER
Do your research on how your legal system works.

I'm sorry guys but this has to be the dumbest idea ever for a movie.
Am I missing something here?
Like Mudson (some other commenter) said :

"Anything coming up against Skyrim is going to likely struggle in that aspect. Its a shame because I'm a big advocate of new IPs and for people trying to do something outside of the franchises that already exist, but then it comes to this and I cower in my hypocrisy and play more of Skyrim to save me from bothering."

I think he makes an interesting point. I'm too all for new IPs and the problem here (or one of the problems) is that this looks nothing new. Nothing on it stands out as never before seen. It's a "new IP" trying so hard to fit in with the old ones that turns into an uninteresting mess.

TL;DR: A new IP should bring something new to the table, failing to do so DD turns into an "old game" with a new name.
My plan was not to buy it from origin because I don't like the whole EA vs Steam thing....
But this trailer is making it very difficult to have convictions.... DAMN YOU DICE!!!! AND YOUR AWESOME GAMEPLAY TRAILER!!! ... I'm gonna need a bigger pc.
This man speaks the truth!
Looks nice. And I love the steam logo on the teaser. =P
HOT FUZZ FUCKING ROCKS... ignore the haters jesus. Like you said, turn the other cheek.
:D
YES! The Fnatic vs aAa match was awesome with some great moments. And some seriously great teamwork on both sides.
You should check out the kotaku post on why people enjoy watching starcraft games.

Most games are not prepared for a GOOD spectator mode. I'm a league of legends player myself and while I've always enjoyed playing it. I've never enjoyed watching someone else play it. BUT for the dreamhack tournament they added a "spectator mode" that shows a lot of useful information (for the spectator) and makes the games easier to follow and fun to WATCH. Starcraft's spectator mode on wings of liberty is... awesome and i think that helps a lot. They shouldn't look at "funny comentators" (even if it does add up) but they should focus on giving people the information to really apreciate the details and strategy behind the moves.

I've never enjoyed tennis matches until I started playing and realized there's a lot more to it than just running and trying to get the ball across. Now when I look at a match I see all that and it's way more fun to watch.

In games, you can't expect everyone to play the game, so you have to create a "spectator mode" where the details of gameplay and the skill that goes into every move is easier to understand for those who don't play the game.
the point about gamestop is not that they are ripping off the customer, they are ripping off the people who make games, and if they make less money we get shittier games. (Or at least that's what I understood)

All the others... I'm not really sure. Kotaku is ok, the new layout sucks but I agree it's gawker's fault.
