I love my PS3; got my 1st Gen 60GB PS3 on Craigslist for $300 with two DS3 controllers and an HDMI cable.
Craigslist is a great place, in my opinion, if you want an earlier PS3 model, but like eBay it has risks. Always have someone else go with you in case you go this route.
Also: Highly recommend WipEout HD (3rd game on Best Games list); it's a beautiful and smooth combat racer and the online isn't too bad.
@Nexus6: A Canadian company called Throwback Entertainment bought the rights to the Acclaim library a few years ago and announced they would work on a few games for the next generation (Extreme-G being one of them).
Unfortunately, I haven't seen nor heard of any development news yet.
Having seen a couple of these movie and having liked them, I am very disappointed that Children of Men didn't make the cut. I don't need to explain how well directed and choreographed that film was.
Having just finished Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale last night, I have been anticipating the movie, and reading the summary of the film makes me think it will be a decent film.
Reading Fahrenheit 451 for a class report in high school was the best assignment I received. In my opinion, the movie was not as good as the book. It may be because I missed some key elements to the film or to the novel, but I just didn't enjoy the movie.
As for Children of Men, all I can say is: thank you! It remains my all-time favorite movie. However, I tried reading the book, but it was confusing to read because of the terminology.
A great example would be Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse-Five. He travels back and forth through time and accepts the fact that nothing can change. Almost done with the book; love the writing.
@tennisman120: In Bradbury's defense, Fahrenheit 451 was one of the greatest novels of the 20th century. Despite you not liking it (and you are free to your opinion), I hope one day you will be able to get the message of the book.
