Cyanogenmod bakes an equalizer right into the phone's os.
Up until that point I used astro player beta, for its equalizer, then jumped over to Mixzing when it got one.
But now I use the default music player, which has been greatly improved in cyanogenmod, bakesin FLAC and APE support, adds lockscreen support, and has the ability to skip songs with a long press of the volume buttons so it doesn't leave my pocket.

Droid users have had apps2sd, JIT, wifi and usb tethering, along with a whole bevy of other 2.2 features for months now by rooting the phone.
And Koush's Cyan merge is a lot more stable than a hacked 2.2 port.

For those looking to potentially make the switch, just be aware that there isn't a 64 bit plugin for Flash yet.
Any other browser such as Skyfire or Dolphin Browser HD will allow you to change the user agent in the settings easily.
