A lot of the data is indeed self reported. Not all of it, which would mitigate the claims against the map, but it makes no disclaimers about it, and some of the sources do not even have that given information. So whitout disclosing any actual methodology to sort and filter the data this is indeed not scientific.
There are other studies that do show averages on countries with no self-reported data, but they are way more limited in scope. So there's that.
The other thing is that of course this are "averages," and they are obviously not census, so they are prone to error. The statistical significance may be questionable on many studies because yes, they have to get people to agree and it will vary over region and culture. If statistical significance was achieved, however, there's also a range of error that has to be considered.
As it is, I believe that there is NO WAY to know averages with statistical certainty, since there is no actual way to completely randomize the data and a census is out of the question. But it is as close to science as it can be for now.
So I've been playing that a LOT and I suck but i still have fun.
This couple of articles have definitely struck a nerve. I've been feeling stressed and depressed for a couple of weeks now -I've had my ups and downs for years now- due to the innevitability of making life changing choices, and how it affects me and everyone around me. Then these articles came just in time to tip me over my emotional edge.
I certainly do not regret reading them. They are just too well written and hit close to home on a couple of instances.
I almost never buy used, and i don't re-sell my games very often, but If you prevent me to sell back the ones I do want to sell back, then you will see way less of my money than before. If your passes have an expiration date, then I will not buy these things at all.
I don't want them to replace almost the whole cast and lose the soul of the show. And yes, you can already tell the differences. I actually like the ghost stories here more since they seem to be way more consistent.
I'm very curious to see how the american version goes around. So far it's been way better than I expected.
