@Jamez: I think it actually requires more effort since you have lowered blood sugar. That's why it burns more fat, your body has to get the energy from somewhere.
@Nick Burns, Your Company's Computer Guy: A clear diamond would also absorb relatively little of the light's energy.
@BeyondtheTech: Notice though that the light does not converge into a laser at the focal point.
@VicariousShaner: You realize every one of Zynga's games was a blatant ripoff of something else, right? It's kinda their MO.

Why just patch concrete with this?
@Caturday Yet?: Still suspiciously absent, for something so purportedly massive.
@Traveshamockery: Those nukes probably saved my grandfather's life.
@Carrick1973: Yes, because it was the UN and NATO that kept the US and USSR from attacking each other, not the threat of Mutually Assured Destruction. Nukes brought peace. How long they can sustain it is another matter entirely...
My uncle in Alaska has had one of these for years. I'll have to tell him he's hip now.

It was a pretty simple plastic tub wrapped in wood. More of a soaking tub than a real hot tub. A small pump moved water through a metal pipe that passed through the top of a wood burning stove. Fire the stove up, turn the pump on and wait a little. When it got hot enough, turn the pump off.

In the summer, there were large patches of blackberries growing in the woods next to the tub and salmon swimming up the bay in his front yard. Closest thing to paradise I've found yet.
@Curves: It gives you a view of a bunker you'd never see otherwise. Look at how thick the concrete on top of the thing is compared to the sides. That tells you which direction they were expecting fire from. Up close you could probably see where they put their rebar, how the forms were made.

In addition to the experiential and artistic merits of this project, cutting it like this is a great way to show how it is made.
Looks like someone already took the coins.
@midnightz: If you're coming here from that far, just try as many Mexican restaurants as possible throughout the duration of your trip. You won't be disappointed.

Warning: Eating good Mexican food has been known to be addictive, and can lead to life-long cravings and obesity.
@midnightz: Haven't tried it yet, I'll give it a shot. If you're ever in Texas try Whataburger's Whatacatch, but add cheese and bacon. Jalapenos if you're feeling spicy.
@midnightz: Filet-O-Fish is one of my guilty pleasures. I hate McD's, but I occasionally get an irresistible craving for one.
@OMG! Ponies!: Since when do actions have consequences for corporations?
@apierion: You're right, it does not. I always assumed it did.
@freedomweasel: Right now your finger covers whatever you're touching. A rear track pad would allow your touch to be represented graphically without your fat finger obscuring the screen, allowing much more precision.
Sunspots effect weather, so it makes sense that the moon can effect rainfal by effecting the solar wind.
@Evil Tortie's Mom: R.O.A.C.H.: Practicality is measured against intent. If a girl's looking to slut it up on Halloween, these costumes are very practical.
