you totally dont come off as the worst passive aggressive asshole in these comments, well done
this article is a scary justification piece about excusing yourself for a complete lack of humility and self examination and an abundance of ego
@Captain-Chaos: @flowpez: @GeneralBattuta: Well thankyou. That's really interesting. I can see it in her face obviously but she doesn't actually look anything like Samara. I can't identify exactly what it is. The real model has a really fit body, so it's not that. It can't be not being blue and bald because those are hardly hot things in themselves. It's been long enough since I played the game that it can't be the lack of her voice, which I don't remember. Yet somehow the real woman, while attractive, is just not the same. Either there's some magic in the details of the character design, or I'm weird and if Rana McAnear painted herself and dyed her hair blue it would come together. I mean, I didn't like Morinth, didn't even know they shared this face until now, so theres got to be more at work than physical dimensions.
I've always said, if I make it to be a grandparent, I will never be this kind of grandparent, and that if I do go buying this sort of wrongness for my grandkids, put me down on the spot because dementia has set in and I'm not the person I was anymore. Maybe we do lose touch with technology when we get old (I don't intend to and I don't believe you have to), but there's nothing stopping you finding out the details yourself or just asking the kids like a mentally stable, competent and sociable human being. Or just go with socks. Just don't cause that embarrassment and mute disappointment with a misty uninformed choice. Don't be that cliche. And don't give these assholes money.
Samara is the most sensually attractive character of the series for me. I like strong features, an assured quality and independence.

She must have been designed around a real person, like Miranda. IE there is someone walking around who looks like Samara minus the blue. I must know who it is.
@HighSpeedIndeed: yes it is, hence why you felt compelled to make a shitty comment like that that doesnt contribute anything to the sum of humanity

the 500 dollars is already spent, it just keeps bringing the rewards
@Nintendo Tim: i never heard it pronounced any other way than snez

either way you wasted my time with that, and now weve both wasted everyone elses
one of my top 10 films
always, always a female in any rpg. i dont want to have to watch a mans arse jiggle around halfway up my screen the whole time i play and i like their voices better. female shepard in particular. feel like im playing bastila shan.
i was raped by twooooo men
no thanks, and im a big fan of mass effect

jesus, they really hammer the "franchise" concept into the ground these days, i hope its a phase

actually tbh these days i wish we could go back to 2000 before gaming became mainstream but after the internet had its hooks in, i just liked it all better back then and nothing changed since except hardcore cashing in and a few steps backward in originality and concepts

before someone says it no i do not appreciate these indefinite mediocre clones and spinoffs, i like releases every 3+ years, of classic status, from studios focused on nothing else, that features no inexplicable aspects like multiplayer or social capabilities or p2p matchmaking that were shoehorned in for business reasons
they know you can get unbezeled lcd panels right
@Jonn: yes, youd never have played videogames before they were accessible and popular and stuff
obvious as it is, blaming your own parents, or headshaking over the state of parenthood today, is missing the root of the problem. which is that there's a reason your and most parents don't have the time to focus on their children today - most parents want to, they would like nothing more than to spend all day with their kids. the modern society and work ethic prevents them from doing so. take away work hours, cooking, school, washing and sleep and all the little details of todays family life, and most families are left with no time and energy in the day to interact now. your boss, and their bosses, control and demand everyones lives so much that they've impacted and continue to impact mass mental health, the very state of society, even while you beg for more overtime, get paid less, spend more on college and pursue your careers ever harder. by the time your kids have kids, instead of enjoying your senior years you'll be questioning why you bothered starting a family in those conditions at all. enjoy.
@ChewyChavezIII: set foot. the phrase is set foot.
visually fine, but that singing voice is just awful. not like they intended. just shit. nails on chalkboard, mute the god damn fucking sound bad.

hey promotional material creators: monotone droning does not make people want your product, it makes people turn off in droves.
@madog: disagree. 3 quarters of the screen appears to be the same colour at any time, characters are barely distinguishable, and the whole thing appears to always look grim and uninspiring.
30 days growth isnt going to produce shit. Everyone'll look like fey perverts or teenagers. And where did this come from anyway.
Best gaming news I've heard in ten years.

Provisionally. While it can still be good. I reserve the right when it pulls a Tribes Vengeance to withdraw the statement and forget the whole thing exists.

There is literally no better multiplayer game in my opinion than Tribes. It transcends videogame status and becomes the first and only virtual sport.

I can easily see it working as an MMO, Tribes 2 was already a semi-mmo with integrated clan management, chat and community, but they have to get it right. Already a bad mark is use of the Unreal engine. Vengeance used it too. It can't do terrain or the infinitely big maps. You need to be able to jet a kilometer off the back of the map or anywhere you like to set up a high speed flag run. You need terrain that supports skiing anywhere you want to go. Unreal engine is too limited scope and it doesn't need the latest lighting effects or foliage rendering or whatever. Serious players turn the effects down for clarity anyway.
