@himynameisdave: The fact that I can download an app for just about anything. Don't like your keyboard, get a new one. Don't like your broswer? Anything and everything is customizable and is available through the Android Marketplace. Also, It's not just the Android Marketplace, its the fact that I can download stuff through places other than the marketplace that makes android apps better than iphones'.
@HSE: yes, iOS is used by fortune 100 companies but it, by no means, meets any security standards. In fact, iphones can't even get SSL data encryption right. Android on the other hand can even do TLS data encryption. I know this because I actually do work in a financial institution and we use these secure controls on it. As for @TheKingBoar, for security reasons, I have not rooted my phone, and have taken great measures to hinder the process in case my phone would ever become lost or stolen.
@rcs914: I doubt he would have been invited as a guest on either of those shows. Those shows like to invite people of substance (writers mostly with the occasional actor to promote their movie), rarely will they get someone who's done something outlandish, only one I can think of is Captain "Sully" Sullenberger.
Homophobia is the hatred or fear of those who are or perceived homosexual. This does not mean that the homophobic person is a misogynist. Because not all homosexual people display feminine qualities.
Or by transitive property:
A=B but B!=C therefore A !=C.
Now don't get me wrong, both are incredibly wrong in their own respective ways. But to call one the other takes away the inherent severity of both.
@RudyWaltz: And it is ridiculous to think that Jon is somehow purposefully and deviously in charge of all of that, past and present. First of all when it comes to the special guest, he has to play the numbers.
of the first 25 political pundits, which are usually Jon's bread and butter, only three were women. And only one has actually written a book, and that was Mary Matalin in 2008.
When Jon is not covering politics he likes to cover science, which, lets get real here, it is a great injustice that we do not have enough women in Science, but that is not Jon's fault, blame our shitty school system.
and finally, They just added Olivia Munn, so that's 2 female correspondents, 33% merits a fair representation. And now that I've looked into it, if you look at the list of former recurring correspondents, women represent about 38% (most who apparently still contribute) of that list. So I don't really know where that original article got it's claims.
@RudyWaltz: So if it isn't snobby and condescending it's just not enough women in the output? Are you just looking for something now? You're worst than TEA partiers and climate change deniers.
And yet this all seems based on Anecdotal evidence from women who've been fired. *sigh* move along.
I will give you that the image of a joyless, angry Stewart does not surprise me. He produces two shoes, writes books, and his shows are immensely popular. It is going to be extremely competitive even if you are a man or a woman. Think of as working at a law firm or working at Microsoft. It's going to be shitty for just about everyone in a highly competitive environment.
Also, they have Bee and Schaal, I've yet to see them get a Hispanic correspondent, but to be honest, I don't care.
