"Why play Monopoly with your Mom and Dad, when you can play a game with your entire extended family across the world, at any time?"

Because I like to sit at the same table as them? Human interaction goes far beyond anything a screen can simulate, for at least the next 20 years (and probably more like 50-100).
@Dread: Of course. I fighted the law once, and I wined.
@kevipants!: One could argue that it has always been an ad show. They've always featured selected video games pretty prominently.
@HowMuchBetter: I hope you're joking, because I'm either laughing with or at you.

In dubio pro reo, so: well played :)
@HowardC: Beat you by 1 minute ;)

I'd love to see the original press release (if there is one).
Today's the day that SMB was first released. Mario on the other hand first appeared in Donkey Kong as Jumpman, and had his first appearance as Mario in Mario Bros.

Mario's already 29.
FYI: The Ultimate Warrior video should be watched to the end. It's funny from the start, but the end is hilarious.
"the Fantastic Four isn't really known for its extensive rogues gallery"

Sure, Doctor Doom is the most iconic FF villain, but there's a ton of others.

Galactus and (Ex-) Heralds like Terrax, the Skrulls (incl. the Super-Skrull), Puppet Master, Wizard and the Frightful Four, Immortus, Mole Man, Diablo, Annihilus, Blastaar, Mad Thinker, Klaw, Dragon Man, Psycho-Man ... the list goes on.

But Doom's ok for a relaunch, I guess. If there'll be a second film in the new series, I hope they'll leave Doom in Latveria for once.
@alexpguy: My horse kept following me around all the time ... guess it liked me better than yours did you ;)
"Cheated"? Only in regards to server costs.

Here's a tip: if you don't want people to buy your game used, don't make people want to sell your game ASAP.

6 hour single player with lackluster multiplayer and no reason to replay the game = second-hand market flooded.
@lilgamerman: Maybe they'll balance it accordingly.

For instance, if the game's got PVP arenas, Imperial Guard soldiers would take up one slot, Tech Priests two or three, and Space Marines 5 or more.

Then again, the game should be full-on PVP anyway ...
@Kellen Dunkelberger: They said as much, didn't they? Imperial Guard, Tech Priest, Space Marine.

And I'm with you - Tech Priest would be fun to roleplay.
@Big McLargehuge: Yeah, that would be fun - sleeping for whole centuries, then woken up for a single battle (or campaign, if you're lucky).
@Tevor_the_Third: You mean Slann? They're not part of the 40K universe anymore, AFAIK.
@wild7s: Some of the former prototypes are considered classics now.
@asdf4321: Once they're 16, they may once again wear what they like.
@thelastdestroyer: I'm perfectly calm, no worry. I just think that "too many easter eggs" is hardly an issue to complain about.

You, on the other hand, seem quite cranky. "Still pissed" - seriously?
@thelastdestroyer: First you complain about the amount of easter eggs in the game, then it's the coverage of said easter eggs on Kotaku? What is it?

I'd agree with you that spoilers aren't fun - but you'll have to follow the link to really see it, so no harm done, no?
@thelastdestroyer: Do you hide a single egg at Easter?
