New David Blue fan here. I already liked his character, more or less, but it's nice to see him reference the other SG shows so casually, like he's a fan as well. And I like the rest of what I'm reading above, as well. SGU is becoming the show I look forward to most every week.
I liked this episode, but probably because I saw it differently. I ignore anything regarding Camille now. I like Ming Na, but I'm really tired of the perpetual Stargate/IOA power struggle story. In survival mode on a relic space ship? Knock it off and explore more, please.

Seeing the Wayward 3 waltz through the gate was a let-down at first, but then I realized that it might be demonstrating an interesting angle to these aliens: They cook up smart plans and don't want to kill the humans. They just want them off of Destiny. Or.. they were a dangled lure to return and be captured. Either way, the aliens were responsible, which makes it less about "imagine the luck!"

I'm hoping we'll see more of the robot when there's time, just like other characters.

My only other thought while watching was that Amanda should have jumped on Eli after Rush deflected her. I hadn't even heard about the leaked story until now. But that could have given Eli some character advancement in a few different ways.
@Crashproof: The 2nd to last image in the story is also from Meco. After releasing Star Wars Disco, Superman Disco, Wizard of Oz Disco, and a couple others, Moondancer was a collection of cover songs done disco-style including the title track, Spooky, Grazing in the Grass and many more I cannot remember. :) I was around 9 years old when it came out and the cover art was amazing.
@Ghost_in_the_Machine: Indeed. I'm a big fan of Ming Na, but the whole Camile Wray/IOA story has been done. In both SG1 and Atlantis. DONE. We get enough of this political crap in real life. I can see that the writers enjoy the human interaction it causes, and it adds an extra level to the story, but it goes nowhere I want to go. The preview of next week's episode, after I enjoyed this one so much, was a serious downer. I can only hope they crank it up, deal with it, then put it aside. There is an Ancient space ship to explore, for god's sake!
@MrHaroHaro: Had the same question. Ziffinity? This is an awfully ambiguous name for a major company, especially considering there already is an Infinity Broadcasting.
@Eustace Silly: Not to mention the same monopoly power Amazon exerts over indie publishers, and the ridiculously high cut taken by their own CreateSpace subsidiary for placement on Amazon.
@Ricky Cruz: Ha! I was thinking that Col. Young created our "new" Dr. Smith right there, and here we go down the regroup/revenge road. Lost In Space, ftw.
@skywalker24: That's a Big Trak! I got one for Christmas in '79 (I was 10). Loved that thing. Even the audio effects were cool. I like to think it prepared me, if slightly, for learning Logo in later years. [en.wikipedia.org] #oldschoolcubicle
Of course, there's nothing stopping indies from offering the LP files package for direct download themselves. If fans don't have (all) the songs yet, it might even encourage a "completionist" marketing aspect.
I'd watch cooking before I'd watch fake wrestling, but I'd watch SCIENCE FICTION before either.
It may be redundant with Google, but this could be very cool for other apps. And don't call me Shirley.
If it was so important, why did it "fall" into anyone else's hands in the first place? Many wise idioms are applicable here. It's amazing that someone who doesn't own a property can tell someone who does what to do with it.
I sent an SMS once at 2am on an empty freeway, realized the potential danger, and never did it again. At least for me, it seemed far worse than talking on the phone because of the constant looking down and changing focus. To those who think they are superhuman: Your insurance company can find out what you were doing.
@blorp: Agreed. When someone mentioned that it would be on Friday night, I went looking on the SciFi HD channel for it. I finally found it on our local Fox affiliate (KTVU). Aside from other shows, I watch the 10 O'Clock News on that channel every night. Sometimes I catch the daily reruns of Seinfeld and Friends as well. Yet I can recall zero TV ads for Virtuality. Nothing. I'm damn glad I caught it at all, and will likely watch it tonight.
@mat: Did you just compare Apogee to Alesis? Good luck to you, my friend.
@Eulogy: Your entire "message" fits.
Didn't pre-order. Not standing in line, either. But this is probably the first iPhone I'll buy. I will be happy to wait, however, until the craziness dies down, the bugs get stomped, and AT&T fixes whatever is guaranteed to go wrong with their own tech. In the interim, my iPod Touch, WiFi and I will continue to get along nicely.
Sony 5.1 HTIB on the living room and bedroom entertainment systems, and a Logitech Z-5500 5.1 system on the main computer. The secondary computer got the good old Logitech Pulse 2.1, which still sounds awesome for its age and $40 price.

The fancy Logitech Z-5500 sounds good, is THX certified, etc., but has no EQ controls and goes to sleep in 3 seconds flat, often missing short sounds like email alerts. It also came factory fresh with a nice grounding flaw, solved with a bent paperclip around one connector. Tough to recommend it.

@Thrubeingcool: Seriously. Let me know when new battery tech can be fully charged in under 2 minutes. Then the capacity won't be as important anyway.
@debbyherbenick: Good luck, Debby! I think this confirms that iPhone + sex = one dangerous combo. :)
