LOL! I'm honestly amazed at the lack of informed opinions regarding the Bible there are here, I'm not even sure what book MikeSmith is talking about in his soap-box session.

If any of you can take something away from this, just do yourselves one favor. When the things you've misplaced your confidence in let you down [and they will], don't make the mistake of thinking that God will too. Apologize and believe, and He will fix your life.

Wouldn't really consider Intelligent Design and Science enemies, ultimately Science just shows through observation how some of the processes work.

Now if your Science includes questionable hypothesis es by biased people using skewed or out of date material, then you are wrong, not Biblical accounts.

Christianity began in the Middle East, then spread to Rome, into Europe, then came over with the Spanish to South America and the Pilgrims to North America.

As far as the term Myth goes, in the future I'd say, "I sure do hope it's a Myth, because I'm in serious trouble if it's not". I know it doesn't roll off the tongue, but it's the precise situation you're in.

Matt, the reason he doesn't insult Islam is because they'll kill him. The worst he could expect out of a Christian is a stern talking to and praying for him.

Really dug SF2 and it's enhancements over the years, the franchise lost me at SF3 though. Character-wise, SF3 was a letdown. I hope SF4 just pretends SF3 never happened.

Lost Planet eh? I thought the demo on Xbox was alright, I don't think the end result deserves a PS3 port though.

Hey new architectures are tricky, Sony has always had a history of creating initially difficult platforms to develop for. I say take your time, get it right, and all of the delay bickering will be forgotten.
Meh, Microsoft can keep 'em. Utterly tired of Halo, don't really care if I can play it on my PS3 or not.
Good news! I guess that $399 PS3 SKU is in the bag. Now perhaps xBots will focus their ire on more important things, like getting more than just racing and FPS's for the 360.
@Nimh:

No misdirection involved. The success of Blu-Ray as the dominant high-definition format and medium will be much more valuable over the years than game sales. The PS2 and PSP can keep Sony on top, until the format war is officially over.

@GrlGmr: I remember reading about that, it's terrible. I don't presume to think that the US has the right to push our political values on other nations, but what the Chinese have to cope with is amazing. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if economic sanctions don't occur after what's happened in the past few months, it would be a bitter pill to swallow for american consumers, but perhaps that's what we need to shed this "consumerism" that's become so prevalent in the last couple of decades.
@Soldrak: It certinaly looks like you didn't spend enough time in the US, if your idea of America is either squalor or splendor. Anyone from anywhere can better themselves in this country, all it takes is the will and single-mindedness. How do I know? Because that's exactly what I did. This is a land of opportunity, where the only thing stopping you from making a better life is yourself, not a government.
@Rebochan:

It's not that China is rich, it's due to the fact that they can undercut any labor or manufacturing cost since their government uses their own citizens as slave labor. Repressing information about global economics and different ideologies allows the Chinese Socialist government to keep their people in line. If the billions of Chinese woke up one day, and realized that they didn't have to live off the scraps their government pitches them, then they might rebel and overthrow their government.

@Scuba Steve: I wouldn't pan the six-axis too quickly, when implemented in the right way it certainly adds to the gameplay. For example, the "aftertouch" feature built into Heavenly Sword was very fun. You have to learn how to use it the right way, but once you do it adds alot of immersion to the gameplay.
@Gian: I Googled the name Latham and taxi driver after reading your comment, are you talking about the guy in Sydney Australia who knocked out the taxi driver over a fee? Latham is my middle name, and I'm based in the US. I never heard of that story until your comment.
I still can't figure out how anyone had any problems with the controls of this game. I rented it after hearing all of the negative feedback, and had no problems whatsoever. It would be easy to assume some "reviewers" just can't be bothered to actually learn something new, that would infer that the status-quo in the video game industry is simply to keep spewing out the same crap year after year..
Perhaps by eliminating the $299 price point of the Core SKU, that gives Microsoft the option to lower the current Premium SKU to fill it's shoes. I doubt it would happen anytime soon though, maybe next Christmas..
@The Commissar: By definition misanthropic implies a dislike for all people. I happen to like plenty of people, just not the political whackos. Don't like it? Tough..
What, no liberal politicians trying make inroads with their gaming voters? I've got $5 that either Klinton or Obama are going to show up somewhere in a Master Chief outfit.

Democrat in '08 "Finish the Socialist Take Over!"

Reminder: 2 SKUs only. 40Gb and 80Gb, replacing 20Gb and 60Gb. Cheaper, more HD space. Win/Win..
Multiplatform owner here, and I also can't fathom how anyone would construe this as a bad thing. The 40Gb SKU replaces the 20Gb, the 80Gb replaces the 60Gb. The prices drop, you get more of what you want, without the unwanted components. This bizarre PS3/Sony derison from some users simply defies logic. It's a well-built console with alot of capacity, good games, and at this point a very competitive price. I'll be glad when this mindless fanboyism ends, because all it does make folks look stupid.
