It's basically a given. I've got a circa 2006 Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro myself, and my Mac Mini is now out in the cold as well.

As weirdly frustrating it can seem, we are talking about machines more than 4+ years old and I can appreciate that Apple is willing to cut loose dead weight from its coding structure.

Who eats New York style pizza with a plate?
Let's see... That's not the Microsoft campus. Look out the window... Does that look like the Microsoft Campus to you? Secondly, as I said previously, this photo was taken AFTER he'd left Microsoft and started his own company. However neither CoM nor Gizmodo seems interested in any kind of accuracy of reporting.

Oh, wait, it's an article by Andrew. Nevermind...

Let's see... LED Bulb above... 5 Watts. Halogen bulb here... 29 Watts.
LEDs are DC-only devices. The heat comes from the conversion of AC to DC and stepping up the voltage.
Yet they never updated their story... Probably because it makes it a non-story...

Uh, Giz... You DO realize that photo wasn't taken at Microsoft, but after he left MS to start his own company right?

My problem is I don't even get a strong enough 3G signal in my home on N. Beacon Hill to make a fucking phone call, let alone use data services.
I lived on Vashon for a couple of years. I actually had full service Data/Voice on the ferry at all times.
I find it interesting that apps have to ask my permission to locate me, but my address book is wide-open...
Maybe the people left at Apple are all just corporate cocksuckers at heart who don't care?

As for the off-centered 1? It actually looks like they included the serif when centering... Which, if you want something to look truly centered, would be correct. Had that dot not been under it, you'd probably never know.

The sloppiest thing that Apple has done that I can see is the removal of the Edge software switch on the iPhone 4S. I get great edge reception at my house, and spotty 3G at best. Keep in mind I live within 5 minutes of Downtown Seattle. My phone is fucking useless as a phone unless I can catch it during a brief moment it has flipped over to edge.

Seriously, I work in Downtown Seattle, and I can fucking see my house from here...

So, my only fucking option is to spend $200 for a goddamn box that makes me use MY internet service to get phone service.

On the other hand, they could just use a bit of Steve Jobs's ashes and hope that the reality distortion field is intact after his death.
The only thing that would have averted that would have been to build a series of artificial reefs off the coast of Japan to dissipate as much energy as possible before it hit.
This assumes that A) All earthquakes produce the same waves, and B) that even if you could tune the material to mask those waves you would need to know what kind of waves were expected in advance.

This is all well and good, except that we now know that the waves generated are affected by not only the depth and amount of energy released, but the type of fault generating the waves in the first place.

What I do is go where people are partying heavily, and then I wait for someone who is hammered so badly that they blackout to leave without their phone/laptop/iPad. Then I take it, and use it to find new people to stalk, err I mean date.

Unfortunately, the last two times I tried this I ended up with the same guy's equipment, so there was nobody really new to stalk.

But, maybe you guys can get his stuff next time... He looks like, well. He looks like the guy in the photo above...

Why are posts missing from this thread?

Yep, but I pay yearly, so it never affected me. I did have the password reset to one of my sites though, and this would explain why I suppose.
