In a way it's funny. Is Reeves really chickening out by not addressing the gender-ambiguity theme in the original work? That's what made the Swedish movie thought-provokingly fresh from what you may expect from the horror-love-story with kids, which in itself is not a common thing to see in movies.

If they have a cut of the movie revealing the gender of the vampire I hope they leave it in. In itself it's a beautiful thing that vampirism in a way is not the only thing about that character which makes him/her an outsider.

Also the transgender issue is not even a metaphor (like vampirism) but a real identity issue for portion of modern society and an alienating factor. In itself the transgender issue can even today be a source for alienation, provokation, identity issue even liberal audiences may not have reflected upon.

That may even be one of the reasons why Let the right one in even gets under the skin of more jaded vampire movie fans.

I will see the movie, and I hope it will support the more thought provoking portions of the original.

Because even if Reeves adapted it nicely to an American 80s setting, ignoring the transgender part of the story due to local cultural values, this remake/reinvisioning in itself proves a vital but sad state of repressed contemporay american culture.

Prove me wrong.
Get that Terminator deal, Joss. #dollhouse
Thank god Berg is leaving the project. Blomkamp could be a match in heaven. Damn it would be interesting to see what the guy could do. #dune
Still though the guy could restore franschise. Woulde love to see him do First Class and straight after that X-Men 4.
Season 2 and 3 was lost because of poor story arc and a too messy comic booky-oriented style of writing. Figures, I find some of the great comics being great in the beginning but usually gets watered down pretty quickly by too much weird fantastic elements and too little working drama between characters. Heroes has become a mess in that department, don't see any possible way than killing off plenty of character to make way for new better storylines. Don't know if that would repair the clusterfuck of storylines that've reigned for two seasons.
Perhaps another fail makes exec realize that Berg might be a terrible choice for Dune.
Still though Castlevania needs another dimension to crappy platform mechanics and crappy oneliners a la devil may cry. If you hire good VO actor in this case even movie actors - utilise good story telling elements. At its best Kojima is really good on fleshing out the characters in these non-interactive or semi-interactive sequences. I must admit though right now the character models does not look top notch and the main character feels more like a rough sketch from a Warcraft game. Hope there is time for improvements to give the game a more original flavour. Hate to see this game go to waste especially when i already has some big names attached to the project.
How frickin hard can it be. Release all triple A (yes this should be treated as one) and other potential hits simultaneously over the world - the market region delay is so 20th century and should be eradicated as a marketing practice whenever the risks are small enough. Digital distribution is really the final solution for this. Also, it's plain stupid to mess with one of the market regions where the PS3 has a higher ratio of userbase compared to the US. Sure there is a higher complexity in the PAL release but wait releasing it in the US until the European verson is done - and keep a lid on any delays to keep everyone ignorant and happy.
Simple - the mgs solid series prior to mgs4 and all the main resident evil games before resident evil 5.
Funny, I smell a love story with those two a mile away. Peter and her that is - those of you who thought her and Walter - seek help. :)
And we lost Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles for these shows?
At the same time, were he surrounded by complete idiots?
Happily awaiting your next big project. You are missed at the moment.
Also what happens with my PSN Store media with the switch to the next console generation? Am I forced to buy the same movies again for the next console? Sony's long term strategy for digital distribution hasn't presented any remeasuring solution how I can access the software and media I own in the future.
Digital distribution offers seems still to be plagued with limited downloads. Kinda makes it more worth buying those blu-rays...
It feels like the series would be better as a high budget miniseries run by a big director name and big character actors.
Goodbye Grin. No grin here. They had potential but messed up by delivering messy products in a time when everyone counts their savings carefully and only buy what they think are the best games.
Fun product placement. Anyone know what brand of Plasma he used? ;)
Funny, it seems like an extended cut may come. According to rumours with 30-40 extra. Could this fix the pacing and the character developments in the story?
The only respectful thing to do before doing another movie - is to make a rework. Don't call it Director's cut. Call it the epic-fal-we-now-are-trying-to-fix-cut
