@girlhowdy: Just wanted to say that I was adopted, though I never think of my parents as adopted parents. I mean, they're just my parents. I know I can count on them for anything (as long as its not illegal) and that they support...uh...my dreams, yeah, cheesetastic. Oh, and I was the straight-A, responsible, student type throughout my high school years. So, the point is that I generally view adoption in a positive light and respect the parents who choose it.

@RemoteCommander: Yeah, being perceived unattractive definitely helped me develop interests and a sense of worth that does not derive from appearance. From the age of 10-16, I was a skinny nerd who read comics and played videogames and had gigantic glasses and strange clothing. Seriously, I wore stirrup pants and flannel in some unholy combination of the 90's and 80's. It was like the year 2000.

These stories just make me sad. At 8, I was trying to see organisms in pond water with a toy microscope or digging in the garden looking for dinosaur bones.

The animation looks slick and I am not against pretty boy Bruce Wayne. After all, he is a playboy in his alter ego. It'll be cool to see a different interpretation of the Bat, keeps things interesting over the years. Planetary/Batman: Night on Earth had a rundown of various bat-incarnations and it was awesome.

@Gospel X: Yeah, anime is like any other medium, you have to find the good stuff yourself.
