I dunno about Patti's second point. Lotsa dudes like assertive women.
Unfortunately, my volunteering for Obama won't lessen the stupidity present in the electorate. But I appreciate the suggestion; I'm already signed up to help.
*silently hearts you so as not to disturb your first amendment rant*
I don't think they have cubes. It's more like long conference tables. A school lunch room-cum-latter-day-panopticon.
I dunno. AJ seems like the type to make sure that absolutely nobody outlives him.
Eh. He can take it. What's childish petulance to an adult other than annoyance?

I'm far more outraged by conservatives' frightening political beliefs and absurdly fantastic assertions of fact. That these people represent a large bloc of Americans scares the everlovin shit outta me.

Hooray for valuing absurd clauses in a mandatory honor code?
I think the issue is more that people already tote around a portable entertainment device and are more than happy with the entertainment it provides, even if the gaming options kinda suck (though, to be fair, sucky games are popular across all devices and consoles, it seems). Us hardcore gamers would prefer dedicated devices, but the question is whether the Vita and 3DS have staying power outside the hard core.

Broussard is a hack and has-been, I agree.

This explains the hurillazee's dominance over the rest of us apes.
Yes, you are spot on. Childhood obesity is a serious problem, but the non-obese, non-overweight kids are just plain larger than kids were a generation ago.
I could say a bunch of white male slaveowners agreed 200-odd years ago....
The Tea Party worships von Mises and Hayek, and they called themselves social scientists. I mean, they were fantasists more than scientists, and elitist as all get-out, but they were economists, at least.

Also, exposure in school to science, or any subject, doesn't mean people understand it.

We agreed on inefficiency and contention? When? Nobody asked me!
At the Broadway between 96th and 97th street location, at least. I blame the 72nd street Trader Joe's and the relatively high density of large-ish grocery stores in the area (two Associateds within a block of each other!).
I've comparison shopped Gristede's, Whole Foods, Associated and Gourmet Garage (RIP) here on the UWS and found that staples are cheapest at Associated. Whole Foods and Gristede's had similar prices, though whole Foods has a much larger selection which includes higher-priced prepared food not available at Gristede's (and dirt cheap at the Associated). Gourmet Garage had the highest prices generally, but the best sale prices. The dealbreaker is the four-hour wait at the Whole Foods checkout.
He was a conservative activist, at any rate. He worked for Jerry Falwell and Liberty University. Rock-solid Republican.
Inside that furball beats the heart of a (miniature) wolf.

Alabama preacher, not a GOP pol. I misremembered.

If the employer doesn't want to provide insurance coverage for contraceptives, it can just stop doing business.

If the pharmacist doesn't want to fill prescriptions for birth control, s/he can just quit.

Ooh, that makes sense. Leave it to the party of two-wetsuit fetishes to mandate latex and rubber for the rest of us.
