Frank Frazetta was actually more likely inspired by earlier Burroughs illustrators like Frank Schoonover.
Waah! I'm stuck in jury duty today and the court firewall has blocked my access to this video...apparently somebody thinks fictional horny teens are a threat to democracy!
Total nudity! Irrational behavior! Heavens to Murgatroyd!
Gaah! Do your research before stepping to the left along with a bajillion others who erroneously think Collins stole her idea from BR. She was watching TV and switching back and forth between some dumb reality show and coverage of Iraq, and realized we have become a culture of violence-for-entertainment the same way the Roman Empire made a commodity of violence-for-entertainment. She couldn't have made it more obvious.
I love that all those penguins are all, 'Get a room.'
Never underestimate the Brontes! Ps, your handle is sensational.
Um, I mention it all the time. To myself. In the dark.

Isn't it better than he did this rather than a [potentially dogshit] film version of 'BBAJ'?

Said it before, will say it again: Benjamin Walker = Sexy Times Yes
You know what I like about girlfriend here? She knows her instrument really well. A lot of people say she's too histrionic when she sings but I think she knows when to hold back. Lots of performers would have swung for the cheap seats out of excitement and flubbed their high notes, but she was very judicious about how she sang and made it really rich.
God she's beautiful, isn't she?
Hudson has a very particular voice quality that I don't really care for, so I didn't like this, even though I give her props for doing what she had to do. I just feel this needs the songbird touch that Dolly and Linda gave it, or the intense sound Whitney had - I always thought her voice sounded like a heraldic trumpet.
Lots of ladies are just shouty, but Whitney always had this slightly rough edge to her tone which made it music, not just programming.
It's been a while since I thought of this, but 2 of my favorite sounds in the world just might be Bonnie Raitt's voice over a National slide.
Aww. Thank you. Y'know I wasn't allowed to have pierced ears either. I also remember hopping around to that video in my friend's bedroom during sleepovers.
First 48 I ever bought, with my allowance money, was 'How Will I Know'. I remember walking through Sears touching the cover and wishing I had a rad mallrat outfit like Whitney wore. That song still makes me smile.
And she belted that out with a smile on her face. Haters to the left, please.
Casio coverage cage match? Culps win by a country mile.
I noe, congrats and HODOR!
Brienne DOES look good! I had skepticals - as she is my favorite character - but I am digging her dirty manly Nordic vibe.

The only character who makes me go all Disappointed Sloth is Hodor. I always pictured him as much younger and sunnier. The actor who plays him always makes him seem vaguely terrified. Hodor? Hodor.

I also wish the costumer hadn't decided that the Dothraki needed to dress like they were in a dinner-theatre production of Conan the Destroyer. Come on! Someone in the khalasar's GOT to know how to use a needle!

Nicely put. I teach concept and character design and sometimes it's tough to get students to understand that story comes first. You can make all the flash in Photoshop you want, but if you don't embrace the core idea behind the plot and the characters, then you'll ultimately end up with hollow work that doesn't resonate with people.

Another thing I'd tell my students is to IMMEDIATELY remove a branded logo that belongs to one of the most powerful companies in the industry from their work, no matter how many sentences they add to it saying they don't own it. It looks desperate.
