"I haven't commented for a while - for a variety of reasons - but have to say this: It's hard to choose what to believe about what's going to happen with Batman and mostly what to believe from the "mouth" of DC Dan Didio (with the credibility of anything from USAtoday being suspect too). Anyway, as a comic store owner (no it's not the cash cow you think) I get to follow a great many stories and what bother's me the most is the total lack of continuity (or "obscure" continuity) in many of the DC titles - particularly Batman R.I.P."
