There's some neat things going on there, but it seems like a lotta work for what amounts to about a 5th grader's understanding of evolution. Not to mention about a 2nd grader's take on human history.

Which is ironic considering graffiti's rather violent origins with gang fighting.

I mostly liked the momentary interactions between the painted characters and the "real world".
All I want is close tab in the context menu and I haven't been able to find an extension that replicates it. Doesn't anyone use the context menu to close a tab???
@TimMighty: I agree. And this is incredibly awesome.
@ThisDudeRufus: In an interview with Peter Deluise he said they realized it was a bit 'cheap' but it was either that or they waste time every episode explaining how they were able to communicate.
@Aethyr: Carol Danvers would definitely be cool. I doubt they'd do Wanda too. But I'm looking forward to the day they'll do more cross over stuff like that.

For some reason I'm thinking Silver Sable might be a possibility though. I'm not sure how much she popped up in Iron Man, but she dealt a lot with sheild.

@Tiny Post-Impressionist Artist: No, it was awful. I'm happy Graeme mentioned it.
@92BuickLeSabre: Look at it this way. This means we're one step closer to brain steroids. Of course brain steroids will be reserved for the privileged who, hopefully, after becoming incredibly intelligent will then become altruistic and share the love :D

Although, geneticists can't account for altruism, so they'll get better at greediness and we'll all be F'ed. Oh well.

@JustChill: "...if I need a biology or physics degree to write science fiction than I'll most certainly have to give up..."

Good point. Too much reference to actual science can tend to alienate (hehe) the general reader and writer for that matter.

@Zidel333: That's funny. My brother's a mathematician and thought he was brilliant until he got to grad school and met 17-18 year old Chinese and Indian students who were way ahead of him. He now blames my mother for "spoiling" him when he was younger.

He was always an egomaniac though. My theory is that his first 9-5 job turned him into a gigantic asshole after spending most of his life in college.

You don't even need to torrent it. You can download pretty much every episode through rapidshare or one of those other download sites. Still not quite legal I guess :D
@Mike Christmas: Um, maybe some of us "nerds" like scifi because it's NOT constantly loaded drama.

I dig the new BS, but life if nowhere near THAT dramatic or depressing. After an episode of BS I actually look forward to a nice light Stargate. It's nice to see a plot point actually resolved now and again.

@Pope John Peeps II: Haha! Yeah, weekly existential crises do get somewhat tired after a while.
@collex: I don't see what's wrong with just leaving the Crimson Dynamo as what he is.

He's a classic Iron Man baddy and fits perfectly with a Black Widow story.

@Charlie Jane Anders: I'm glad you said something. Now I don't look crazy....The illusion persists! The images usually do make sense though :D
@Smeagol92055: Yeah I see it and don't get it either. But with a site like this, I'm usually just pleased when I do actually get the image, rather than disappointed when I don't get it.
@Spideyrex: Good point. Makes me feel cheap and used.
@wolfsunfire: You forgot to mention the mom's with their kids that show up during the day. Those were pretty much the only women I've seen in my local store.

There's a significant difference between rural comic book stores and urban stores too.

Oh yes PLEASE kill Lana already. I mean jeez...all they do is dump on Cloe all the time on that show....and she's by far the more loveable character.
Excellent post Annalee. Really got me to see the show in a way I don't usually.

I don't think about social issues much while watching the show, but I really think that sci fi is the best genre for social issues. It enables us to see them outside our normal contexts and therefore get a clearer understanding.

Also wanted to point out that Adama ( the most male character) is a complete pussy cat for Roslin. At least lately the last couple seasons.
