What about Jim Aparo? I always considered him to be one of the best Batman artists. His is a very nicely detailed style that had an almost 'animated' feel to it.
Another cool fact about "The Last Starfighter" is that it may have been the inspiration for the Disney XD series, "Aaron Stone". In the series, a teen named Charlie, who is the champion of an MMORPG called "Hero Rising", is selected to become a secret agent of sorts for the mysterious man responsible for the game.
You could have also mentioned James "Rhodey" Rhodes, aka War Machine. In the 'Dark Reign' run of the "War Machine" series, after getting blown up real good, Iron Man turned Rhodey into a cyborg to save his life. This new version of War Machine could merge with other pieces of tech to upgrade his suit on the fly.
You could have mentioned "TRON Evolution". When I heard there was going to be a new TRON-based game, I jumped for joy! But when I finally rented a copy, I was greeted with a standard 'enter room, beat enemies, rinse and repeat'.
Not to say I hated it. In fact, I tend to enjoy such games for some reason. But the adding of 'Prince of Persia' style moves and the constant 'zoom out' view of the camera did nothing for this and, in fact, may have held it back
You know what I miss the most about movies from the 1980's? The posters! The posters were a goddamn art form. When you compare '80s movie posters to the photo-shopped crap we get nowadays, how can you not notice the distinct lack of quality and craftsmanship?
I'm betting the glowy computer is Intersect 3.0. If they did a holo-Bakula for Chuck to chat with, that would totally cheapen the impact of Papa Bartowski's death
