I knew it was lizardmen, I knew it. I mean, coming out from the deep with advanced technology and destroy mankind. Of course it'd be lizardmen!
I didn't even read the intro to this article. Just wanted to get to the reason of why kids have ADD as fast as possible, and I knew that it wouldn't be in the intro paragraph. Maybe that's one of the reasons ADD exists. People just learn do deal with information faster, and discard or ignore bits that don't seem important(even if they are).
When I played Skyrim I really wished I could be someone else than the Dragonborn or Nereverine, or Choosen by Fate. It would have been nice to be a Whiterun Guard as the world saving Dragonslayer, while the Dragonborn himself does all the fetch quests.

Aaand you might not have a clue what I'm talking about, if you haven't played Elder Scrolls.

Point is, I kind of agree with. Doing hero stuff just because you can would be more exciting than doing it because that's your destiny.

This is why every kind of entertainment get boring sometimes. You just know that it's all going to crap, before it gets resolved right at the end of the season/stroy arc. Can we get some lasting consequences and relatioships, you know, just to change things up.
I've watched the two clips on io9's previous post about this movie, and it didn't feel like found footage.

"As time goes by Andrew (who is the person filming most of the movie) starts using his telekinesis to record. Which means he can remove himself from behind the camera with his superpowers."

This makes me think that they just gave themselves the excuse to film any way they want, but call it found footage, because Andrew held the camera with telekinesis.

Reminds me of Akira in that "My friend is an evil superman" way.

I like the idea behind this movie, and have wanted to see it done many times. Glad it's actually happening, and I will see it if io9 gives a good review :D

I remembered that too. And this Draco that cure things by destroying cells? I'm not a doctor, but I think destroyed cells can't be good for ones health, especially in larger numbers.
"Any sufficiently cool dragons are indistinguishable from magic."
I watched the original movie and loved it. Then I read the book, and loved it, although it made me look back on the movie version with a cofused expresion.

I say they should make a new starship troopers movie closely follow the book.
I really wanted to see what Peter would do next and how he would interact with the rest of the team, but what I got this episode was filler, filler, filler; cliffhanger. Very nice, Fringe.
My favourite line from the Justice League cartoon!
Wow. Just...Wow. I never knew things like this existed.
I'm not sure if it avoids the pitfalls you mentioned, but I really love Star Beast. It's not too complicated or profound, and it reads very easily. I enjoyed it alot.
I think this list should be 15-20 long, inlcuding Mark Sheppard, Jeffrey Combs and all the other great actors mentioned in the comments. Cutting it to 10 is just unfair.
Isn't the fuel for nuclear plants dug from the ground, just like coal and oil? It isn't infinite. I guess since it's not formed from fossils, it can't be called a fossil fuel, but it suffers from the same problem as fossil fuels. It's not renewable. This, and not potential nuclear accidents was always my biggest gripe with nuclear power.
In that top image Superman looks like Ryan Reynolds.
I think up fanfiction when I listen to music. I sometimes have to stop watching a TV show because I need to listen and imagine.
Request denied!

One of my favourite bits of Dr Who. Thank you.
Finally someone came to their senses. It doesn't even have to be bulky armor. Just something that's more than a chainmail bikini.
Captain Jack and Dr. Smith would be a sight!

I find Miracle Day to be too normal for a Torchwood thing. Even with the people not dying, it's just too tame. The whole conspiracy thing is boring. Jack mostly just sits around mumbling morphic fields to himself, instead of sexing up his coworkers and everyone he meets.
