Agreed...though seeing the Eddorians destroy Rome through Nero would be sweet...Triplanetary and First Lensman would only serve as a backstory. My biggest fear is the idea of "updating" the science and world. They will pull the ether-powered engines and make the story completely mundane.

Has this Lensman thing been in development for a while? First I've heard of it. Never been a huge fan of JMS but I love the books. The first olde-tyme space opera I ever read...even before the Carter of Mars and Carson of Venus books by Burroughs. I would love to see this on the big screen...but the JMS factor makes me nervous. They are going to cut them down to almost nothing.
