<![CDATA[Comments from Rhysesmum]]> <![CDATA[Comments from Rhysesmum]]> <![CDATA[Rhysesmum commented on Greatest Time-Travel Duels Of All Time(lines)]]> OK, puting aside SF series such as Star Trek, Star gate, Far Scape, X Files and numerous others that have pulled out the trusty old Time Travel storylines, here are some movies that havent been mentioned yet.

Heroes (series I know but TT by mind power = tops)
The Final Countdown - Kurt Douglas takes a Nuke ship back to WW2 and forward again.
Langoliers - Stephen Kings plane trip between time.
The Phillidelphia Experiment - Melting sailors...yum.
Saphire and Steel - who can resist Joanna Lumley and the sheer unexplainedness of it all.
Flight of the Navigator - 80's cool special FX.

Other than the storylines dealing with time stopping - Outerlimits, and time slowing, or even time going in reverse, there seems to me to be 4 main branches used by almost all stories to do with Time Travel. They are...
1. Time Cops or Timeline protectors
2. Changing (making?) the past into something different for good intentions or Evil.
3. Taking information or Technology back to the past and see what happens.
4. paradoxes such as - Killing your own grandfather before he had a chance to meet dear old granny
- Loving your own grandmother in a very special way befor she meets gramps.
- destroying time machine or the guy who invents it.

I have comeback in time to tell you of a SF series very popular in your future and so prevent it from happening. The premise involves Time travel becoming posible and cheep and nonparadoxical in that you TT back to an alternate but similar universe. All sorts of hilarity, special effects, storylines and guest actors are used in a vast free ranging jugernaught that spans 12 years and kickstarts the multigovernment 'watchkeeper' time travel agency in 2020. It turns out that we are more selfish in this local branch of timelines and are banished by the others we stole from and killed in. We are not ready yet.
