How is that the Moonbase Alpha personnel were not aware of the neighboring SHADO base? Just sayin'... LOL.
Xander (in a voice like talking to a baby): Who's a wittle fear demon?
Giles: Don't taunt it.
Xander (getting up, looking scared): Why? Can it hurt me?
Giles: No. It's just... tacky, that's all.

Go-Go Girls of the Apocalypse should be on the list.
I agree with what someone said previously, the music could have been better. I will give credit that elements of the trailer had someonewhat of a Maurice Binder feel to them.

@shellandflame: you wrote "The Incredibles had one of the best scores for a hero movie."---That's because Michael Giacchino who did the score took cues from the late great John Barry who did the music for many of the Bond films.
@bluehinter: I really disagree with the Uma Thurman assessment as Mrs. Peel. I'd go with Catherine Zeta Jones as Mrs. Peel (if you don't agree, at least give me it from a "casting for body type" mindset). As to who could play Steed, this is a casting call I still haven't been able to figure out to this day.

I'm willing to concede that the film did have some pure avenger's moments, both riffs on the series and bits inspired by the series... the governess with the sub machine gun, the teddy bear costumes, Patrick Macnee's voice cameo---the line about "working in camouflage until the accident," and the fact that all exterior scenes were pretty much deserted of other people. But these tidbits weren't enough to make it enjoyable.

As an aside, I will add that there could have been a great in-joke about the Prisoner tv show. The ministry building used the same building garage entrance as in the Prisoner. I would have loved seeing the future #6's car exiting or leaving the garage as in the opening credits as Steed and company enter or leave in the ministry via the garage.
The episode "A Touch of Brimstone," from which photo #1 is taken, was an influence on the X-Men's "dark Phoenix" saga via the Hellfire Club. Mastermind's character. The names of the club's various fictional founders were mash ups of the director, writer, actors and characters names.
Re. "talking to friendly fauna"

She call her "Woodland Friends" ala Disney, but instead of helping with household chores, they fight crime.
She'll want to take a nap when in the path of direct sunlight.
Show #4, "Sherwood," sounds like a live action version of the cartoon "Rocket Robin Hood."

@Obee Juan: Cap is a soldier and soldiers carry their gear in utility belt type rigs. Plus, soldiers using a "utility belt" in general, pre-dates Batman.

@SLL1065: Sudden moment of satori...after I made the above gemini man observation, I suddenly had a "Flash" (LOL) and remembered the name of the agency the lead character worked for.... "INTERSECT."

Is the whole govenor in the watch plot device an intentional or unintentional riff on the 1976 failed tv series "Gemini Man?"

Thoughts? Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?
So, it's fanfic with pictures? LOL.
The ski scene immediately brought to mind two things: (1) a "K-12" or a "Go that way really fast. If something get's in your way turn." for a Better Off Dead reference. And (2), four words: "Hot Dog: The Movie."
I swear by all that is good and decent there will be hell to pay if Marvel's upcoming movies are Disneyfied ala "High School Musical." The minute the Hulk, Ultron, Dazzler, etc. start doing a line dance...
I'm very psyched for this film and am praying really really hard that it won't suck in the same way the big screen versions of the "Wild Wild West" and "The Avengers" sucked.
@josecanUC: It's not sci-fi, but in the show Las Vegas, they did a joke like that. They asked Ed Deline (James Caan) a Godfather movie question, his answer was "never saw it."
Great episode. I saw the whole Senator Perrin & Wife being a doll relationship coming, i.e. the "white knight, damsel" line, but I didn't expect Perrin to be a doll. I wonder if Perrin's "reprogrammed party boy" backstory was a riff on the past White House administration. Enver's impression of Topher was fantastic and so spot-on. I'm hoping that at some point there is an allusion to Rossum being tied into Blue Sun from Firefly. It doesn't have to be a just a quick passing reference that they are affiliated. How cool an in-joke would that be?
