Yes. You really, really do need to watch Fear and Loathing.

Hunter S Thompson movies should be a requirement for anyone who wishes to consider themselves pop culture knowledged. Check out "Where the Buffalo Roam" if you want to see Bill Murray in Johnny Depps role, in an earlier adaptation of a Thompson book. He also does an excellent job.

Pedobear (original name: Kuma, which is Japanese for "bear"...) originated from the Japanese 2ch boards as ASCII art. He became a reoccuring character around the boards, and has been immortalized in a drawn image, not just an ASCII image.
When he became well-known on 4chan, though, he became known as Pedobear, for his love of chasing little girls.

Or something like that.
