"India has one hell of a mainstream creativity problem.
Harry Potter is really popular there, and there are TV shows about witches and wizards in pointy hats - but nothing at all about Indian legends - they even use European style swords in historical films, rather than proper period weapons.
In terms of creativity, India could be like Japan - such a wasted potential (from a sci-fi and fantasy fan's perspective at least)."
"@MonkeyT: You are right - rocket ships are easy to write, because we have a referance from which to build - ships made out of clouds of nano-robots or whatever, are not so easy for someone to imagine."
