Her smile looks normal here all right. Can't say that about the fact that she is being groped by the man three times her age. Somehow despite the marriage license it still feels if not completely wrong, then not quite right.
Those pics scream actual child abuse. I don't care that she is married and her parents gave their consent. She is a minor who does not know better and is exploited.
I can't take seriously anyone who thinks that tights with sandals are hideous (unusual, not for everyone, but can be quite comfortable for some - these definitions come to mind), but vampire fake half moon manicure rules.
Twenty years ago the leading tear jerker was Nothing Compares by Sinead O'Connor, and thirty years ago there was a little song by an obscure group ABBA The WInner Takes it All. Adele is good though.
The problem with outlawing abortions after three month mark is that some complications might kick in later and due to overabundance of stupid limitations on abortions and clinics which perform them, some unlucky ladies (the poor, the young, the abused and unlucky enough to live really far from any clinic) can't get to the abortion doctor before 3 months. It is the reality that always stands in the way of ideal. Bottom line is, anti-women crowd treats abortion as statistics to be lowered, when every case is unique and contrary to popular conservative opinion, the decision it is never taken lightly.
One million is peanuts for a presidential campaign. It is just 10 thousand nuts pitching in 100 bucks each. I would not get overexcited about this. Santorum is a choice of a very rabid, but a very narrow fringe, an extremely polarizing personality and nothing can change that. Only angry old white men and old ladies with dry ovaries would vote for him. And a handful of Quiverfuls. No reasonable young person, person of any color and any reasonable person period would vote for his frothiness.
You are onto something about politicians being paid little. If they had to live the way most country has to, they'd better make sure that the living standards are up to scratch. Also, I would take away a good healthcare plan and give them vouchers like most of them want to, so they have to go and buy what they can afford.
I guess there are more than one kind of reaction. Too much red makes me sleep not very well and I have never had a hangover after red. Only after vodka.
Your corner is far from lonely. I hate watching boring people shout at each other too. The only reality shows that are fun to watch sometimes, is when you are watching professionals at work. I marvel at Iron Chef's techniques. But the usual TLC crap? I'd rather go have fun vomiting.
" it becomes an argument with you insisting "no, I'm not biased against disabled people - but I wouldn't want to raise one if I could get out of it!" And, well, that begs the question of what in the world other than pure bias could motivate such a decision." Yes, I would not want to raise one if I can get it out at 20 weeks, which is legal and advised by medical professionals. Trisomy is a severe disability resulting in very early death, suffering and yes, high expenses. I can make this decision for my family and it is a private matter. But you do not have right to go saying that because of that private decision I hate all disabled people. What you are essentially doing here is making me think that it is best not even to interact with people like you because of your militant uncompromising lecturing and misinterpreting my words. Why do you want more people against your cause?
