I only watched the first 3 seasons of "Smallville," and to me, this ending actually IS pretty perfect. I imagine that if it were the end of a 10 year ordeal, I'd feel differently, but to me, it's only the end of a light, fun three-season show...
I'm also voting with the "Final Cut" in mind.
post-its, text-edit, google calendar, dropbox, last.fm, itunes, adium, facebook, gmail, google reader, chrome, and a bunch of folders (downloads, my "in" folder, applications)
I'm adding another vote for "books," but "never" is a dangerous word.
@Exploriens: This list is actually pretty accurate! I think the bottom line is to just be open to learning and excited about the subject matter. It's a really great experience.
@SuperSnackTime: It's not a real first Minecraft experience without that unexpected terror...
i don't know why so many people are saying this article is "sad" or "gross" or "depressing" or "creepy." i really love this report, and i think it honestly examines something that might seem strange at first glance but is very normal when you really examine it. if you think the maid cafes are depressing or creepy, you didn't read the article carefully enough. fantastic reporting!
@Dunny0: "Electric Monk (Bored Horse)." PERFECT!
@Dunny0: that is the beauty of the character for me. he's always struggling between his utter brilliance and his utter distrust of that brilliance. or, between the deep and arcane, and the "so simple a child could work it out."
@dirtybacon: I preferred the first "Dirk" book to any "Hitchhiker" book, but the second wasn't as astonishingly brilliant. Still obviously great, of course.
@Pixelologist, Esq.: awesome comment. wholeheartedly agree.
@Oxygengrrl: right, except for that. she'd maybe make a better prim? she's just a very talented young actress, is all i'm saying.
@zer0p01nt: i guess i was more referring to the possibility that they'd design spaceship interiors with extra dimensions or something, but even then, i'd probably only experience the conventional 4. as for dissection, you are a braver man than i.
@kalaeth: the difference is that they think their fanfic is canonical.
@Ubernostrom: great quote. and it's true: what better way to cover something up than let the conspiracy hunters do it for you!
@fhbals: i kind of don't mind that... maybe the girl playing rue here SHOULD be in the real movie.
@Ian Reid: xenu was in the first draft, but it sounded even more religion-y than the hitlerism one, so i decided to leave it out. maybe another post some day.
@zer0p01nt: it might be nice if it were just a nice coffee sit-down, but i imagine any abduction would involve things too strange for my mind to handle. i might be open-minded and forward-thinking, but i'm pretty sure being dissected alive by aliens is outside of my comfort zone.
@ZanipoloLebron: this sentence alone encapsulates why it's my favorite alien conspiracy of the bunch.
