I knew the movie was in trouble when I could NOT figure out what the hell it was about from the huge billboard I passed every day coming home from work. It just looked like one big blur of explosions.
Thanks! :) It's funny though...you know the nursery rhyme that goes "There once was a girl with a little curl right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, she was very, very good and when she was bad she was horrid." THAT is my kitten, right there. :)

How in the name of all that is Holy (or Unholy if you prefer it that way...) is Snoopy only a 10-seed? This smells more rotten than Dook's sway over the ACC refs!

Go Snoopy! Duck Fook!
And those little ears! Squee! (-=3
Thank you! I felt better once I got that all out. Then I went and snuggled a bunneh! :D

As for bettas, I completely understand where you're coming from. I've known a couple of people that have had them, and they're very cool little fish. As for feeling a connection to the sweet fishy: I believe that loving/caring for an animal doesn't take away from someone's capacity to love other humans: love begets love...and I've found that people that love animals generally have a greater ability to care about others and the world around them. In fact, to quote Antoine de Saint-Exupery: "For true love is inexhaustible; the more you give, the more you have. And if you go to draw at the true fountainhead, the more water you draw, the more abundant is its flow." :)
Fierce cats in hats! Now that would be cool! :D

The more I thought about this article, the more irritated I got. Just because you don't give birth to something or someone doesn't mean you can't mother it/be a mother to it. By that line of reasoning, does that mean that adoptive parents aren't parents?

As for me, I've lost sleep when my bunny was sick, trying to ensure he'd make it through the night until the rabbit-savvy vet was in the next morning. I give my dog insulin twice a day to keep his diabetes under control, and take care of everyone else's needs to the best of my ability. I love them, and they love me...and I still relate normally to the world and my interpersonal relationships around me...so anyone that thinks I'm crazy for calling myself a mom can just step off. :)

Eh...I have furbabies and am not ashamed to admit it, nor to admit that I'm a furmommy and that my Mom and Dad have fur-grandkids. While I'm not the type to dress any of my four cats, three bunnies or one dog up-or have birthday parties for them-I will talk about them to those interested.

So, I guess while I'm not flamboyant enough to get on a reality tv show with the furkids, they bring me great joy and they're all well taken care of...So judge away. At least this "mommy's" kids are pretty much always well-behaved. :)
I have a "Crazy bunny lady" magnet on my truck. People seem to love it. :)
@txbliss: You're welcome. This is REALLY not the case to rally behind re: Universal Health Care-no matter how wonderful an idea Universal Health Care is.
@halo_arh: Yeah...between the 8 assaults and disobeying a direct order, it would be ludicrous for him to NOT receive a dishonorable. He should also be charged with smoking crack-even if it is just in the metaphorical sense.
@blackbird_pie: Military health care, even. Don't know what he's complaining about. :P
I would think that this is a commentary re: the U.S's lack of universal health care, but the sentence "Still, it seems inhumane to deprive a man of the means to pay for his much-needed medical care..." has me confused. So what is it? Does the AF have the right to deny a fired employee (who didn't play by the rules he agreed to when he signed his enlistment contract) medical benefits, or don't they? He broke the rules, lost his job and thus lost his health benefits. It's really that simple.
