Despite how utterly furious I keep on getting at Doctor Who, I'll give them this; they know how to put together a trailer.
Deadwood...IN SPACE!
Kings...IN SPACE!
Ian McShane delivers monologues...IN SPACE!

Give me a job already, Skiffie

X2 is notable in my mind for one thing that puts it above most films. When the knockout gas pumps into the plastic prison, it's clear. Not green. Not purple. Clear. Marvellous
@Hello Mister Walrus: Traditional FPS, yes. But why should we expect the same sort of protagonist as every other FPS out there from the series that brought us Randian philosophy side to side with damn good shooting action?
Awww, I'd much rather play as an Angry Armadillo
Great news! One of my favourite authors there. The Prefect was stunning in particular.
Ah I didn't realise they were making a Team America 2. The puppets are a little less convincing this time around though.
Star Trek fans in 'po-faced and joyless' shocker

More on this at 10.

But first the weather. Sandra?

@Log1c: It really, really doesn't matter. Everything else apart from the graphics is so stunningly brilliant, the graphics, or lack of, barely matter at all.

And @Anekanta - there's definitely a jump button.

One of my favourite futuristic city designs was Casablanca in Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. It was pretty realistic, older buildings and skyscrapers being quite familiar but futuristic computers in places and little robots skittering about on tiny wheels.

Oh and HOVERCARS, HOVERCARS, HOVERCARS.

The best thing about Heroes is these recaps.

Although that's not saying much.

But these recaps are good.

AGH NO I live on a tendril! I LIVE ON A TENDRIL! I'll be battenning hatches tonight!
@Discodave: Ech, wake me up when it kills my boss. Then I can be the boss!
EIGHTEEN PEOPLE? OH SHIT! That's it for humanity! If eighteen people can bite it, we're all fucked!
Yes the writing is so much better now. I especially love the 'flip a coin' way of deciding a character's morality. Peter's now evil! Suresh is now evil! No wait, they're good again! Hooray!

I'm still waiting for some actual heroics in this season too. If I wanted to watch 'mopey emo-characters with paranormal problems' I'd watch...erm...Heroes.

I've been wavering over whether or not I should stop watching this programme. Last week made me decide to give it a few more episodes, this week made me want to quit it again. Oh Heroes, why you gotta make me hurt so?

The whole thing just reminds me of Superman Returns. Loads of superheroes, no actual superheroics.

Isn't this basically the plot of Tron 2.0? Dad gets kidnapped, locked partially in the computer world, son has to go save him. Except it was Commander Sheridan who was stuck in the game.

Hopefully Ma3a won't turn up.

This Lost episode was no greater nor worse than most. Not much happens, then the last 5 minutes gives you a sort of 'OH MY GOD' moment to carry you over to the next week.

However; make no bones about it, I do love this show.

I'm done with it too. Last week was bad enough, but good grief, this show is going from worse to worse. Time to put it out of it's misery.
I adore this programme, yet each episode disappoints me in some way. I don't understand exactly why.

I think the music's half of it, it keeps having these little moments that recall back to the first film, and then I'm hooked for another 20 episodes.

That and Shirley Manson.
