<![CDATA[Comments from Tiwa]]> <![CDATA[Comments from Tiwa]]> <![CDATA[Tiwa commented on Where Hellboy Came From, And Where He's Going]]> @Final: I agree. I keep coming back because of the great stories, but nothing satisfies quite like Mignola-drawn Hellboy. Maybe if he gets goaded enough he'll come back.

]]>
<![CDATA[Tiwa commented on Where Hellboy Came From, And Where He's Going]]> the Golden Army was awesome. I'm talking about the visuals--the monsters, the environments, the robots. The story kinda felt like I would like it if I was 13. Slow paced dialogue and cheesy exchanges. But that's too insignificant to bother me. I want the shop owner with a castle on top of his head to have his own movie.

<![CDATA[Tiwa commented on Warner Steps In To Show DC How To Play With Their Superhero Toys]]> I can picture in my head a way to do Metal Men right, without it looking ridiculous or try-too-hard campy. It's not the source material that's the problem here, it's how to handle it now and how to present it. Other than Batman, who I think stands apart in the DC catalogue anyways, nobody really knows what to do with the rest of DC's characters.

<![CDATA[Tiwa commented on The Real-Life Trash Robots Who Inspired Wall-E]]> @Hookey: Fifi from the animated Metropolis actually picked up trash and stored it in his chest. And then there are all those cute little wobbly garbage can-droids that are everywhere in Star Wars. They probably have a name, but I don't care.

]]>
<![CDATA[Tiwa commented on New Heroes Babe Is One of Us]]> @braak: If she had just mentioned that, then yes. But two negatives makes one positive null and void.

<![CDATA[Tiwa commented on New Heroes Babe Is One of Us]]> Sorry, Fables and Sandman does not qualify as nerd cred. But at least she's trying.

<![CDATA[Tiwa commented on What You'll Wear To Dance With Bollywood Robots]]> To people dissing Bollywood: Realize that there is really only one cinematic superpower with the kind of talent pool and money to make a large percentage of quality films, which are universal enough to get translated and circulated over the globe, and that is Hollywood. France and Asia are also big, but they still get dominated by American movies all the time. Most countries in the world have no film industry to speak of, they only get imports. The fact that India has a thriving film industry, albeit with a culturally-driven, uniquely bizarre style of filmmaking should say something. If it's not your thing, just don't watch it. Somebody else will.

<![CDATA[Tiwa commented on What Chicks Don't Like About Science Fiction]]> Simple: girls are supposed to be dainty flowers, which sci-fi ain't. I have a friend who proudly professes that her favorite movies are ones about weddings and babies. The people behind the BSG ads obviously believed that all women care about drama and not explodey space violence. I agree that there are tons of girls out there that shamelessly love sci-fi, myself included, but they run along a different vein than what you would call a "normal" girl.

<![CDATA[Tiwa commented on Cool and Crap Awards of the Week]]> @Garrison Dean, King Awesome: @Log1c: Surprisingly though, it does stand out amongst all the bombastic, busy, composition-less superhero covers at my comic book store. It's different, if anything.
