I hope this doesn't mean Jill dies... again....
Plus right now, I'm enjoying my 3DS a lot, thanks to games like Resident Evil, Mario Kart, etc. I don't think I have time to even tinker with the Vita.
I think I'll wait until either the price drops, or there's at least 3 games I want.

Though, in regards to the comment about Captain Marvel, DC decision stems more with the lawsuit they lost with the rights to the name Captain Marvel with Marvel Comics. So if anything, this isn't Lee or Dido's fault. More Marvel.
Honestly, the new-52 story of Wonder Woman didn't ruin her character. It added complexity and extra layers to her current origin - the thought that she was made from clay. Which is the origin that was consistent with Post-Crisis DC. But the twist that she was lied to about her origin really adds drama and weight to her relationship with the other Greek Gods.
Let's be honest, before the DC reboot, they tried to revamp her with a reeeally terrible 90s-style jacket costume. People were slightly interested, before they lost interest, and sales tanked. The current Wonder Woman series has garnered a ton of positive reviews, and praise from fans. This is honestly the best Wonder Woman storyline I've read since Wonder Woman: The Hiketeia.
I just think you're overreacting with the changes to Wonder Woman. Though I won't blame you. I felt the same about the X-Men when Grant Morrison took over and wrote the New X-Men. Though it took years after his run before I really appreciated his run on the X-Men.
The problem I think comes with the single-player mode. The options were cut down compared to previous games. And although the options really don't add too much to the game, it did add a sense of value you're getting. The storymode was too simple and short compared to Mortal Kombat last year, and there were no character endings in Arcade mode.
None of these matter as the gameplay itself is still really tight. You won't find a lot of reviews criticizing the gameplay, but just the lack of content.
SC5 is very much similar to King of Fighters XII, which was criticized for a lack of gameplay options/content, but gameplay-wise was a step up compared to previous King of Fighters games.
