Chances are it'll work just like 2 with a slight twist: There are set quests that everyone does and those never change (like the ones in town) and probably aren't repeatable on the same character and those quests will be completed if you create the game. But then there are also randomly generated quests out in the wilderness in 3, and those probably can pop up again, but we don't know for sure yet I don't think on how anything repeats or not.
Some people don't like Steam, period. It gets tacked on for no reason sometimes. And you can get 'triple A' developed games for the price of Minecraft. Just playing devil's advocate. I'm over here waiting for a real mod system to be announced.../grumble.

Regardless of if this is a good or bad thing: Some of you are arguing from a PvP/Reward/Balance perspective. You shouldn't be. The mobs do not care about the AH or where you got your items. That's the balance Diablo 3 cares about.

First it was the icebergs, now this. The entire basis for what the earth looked like in the past is basically educated guesswork at this point. Because people kept enduring, detailed records of where their sheep grazed, for how long and when. "Attempt" is the right word. It'll be mostly a failure every time.

Well, looks like Nova tries to take down Sarah, probably preemptively (if you don't count Queen of Blades as Sarah) and Sarah goes a little Queen on them while Jim rushes to her aid. Or the lamer approach of Sarah going evil right there. It be better if she wipes the attack team out by herself, though, and is justified in doing it.
