@ridgelon: That was a moronic and Sizeist statement. I do not approve.
@WinterRoseASFR: (Quick disclaimer: I'm not a WW fanatic, but I am familiar with DC universe through Batman so I'll try to explain)

WW is actually from a floating island outside our (Men's) world, called Themyscira. Only Greek women warriors or Amazons are allowed to live there, as they were reincarnated/brought to life by 5 Greek Gods. However, they live apart from everyone, guarding monsters, training and creating art. And the Gods themselves don't really interact with them. At least not normally or under extreme situations. AFAIK. As such, the presence of Gods isn't a problem as you'd like to believe.

I think in the DC Multi-verse, the presence of superior beings, magical beings, even sentient planets makes religion a bit of a non issue.

My favorites was the little girl as Kiki. She was just adorable. And the Mord Sith cosplaying. The detail was just fantastic.
@irishcreekfreak: Let's not degrade our arguments by using fat phobic, sizist insults like that.

Just insult Kevin Smith for being stupid and making Batman pee his pants. That's enough.
@Steve Climaco: Good friends would have moved their wedding so as to not conflict with Comic-Con.

REALLY good friends would have have had their wedding AT Comic-con.
@toilet_duck2000: That summation is a disservice to the series. C'mon now. :/
I never realized how much Harry Potter looked like Peter Parker. Scary....
I don't know what is worse about #13. Is it the blatant sexism? Or is it the horror of mixing 2 Star Trek and Star Wars references into 1 very unfunny joke?
I'm gonna plug the Dream World or Tel'aran'rhiod. You can visit cities in the real (or waking) world, but everything is shifted, and weird. Pretty awesome alternate reality.
@ZenithPuzzle: Well, you convinced me with that helpful simile.
@MrGOH: Even calendars illustrated by Ted Nasmith and beloved by the author himself? If that's not canon, it sure is hell close.

Also, I never said they were in fact canon, only that my mental image of Winterfall and The North is in line with the calendar's depiction. You're taking my words out of context I fear.

Yeah, you guys are right, it just when I imagine Winterfall I imagine 20 foot snowdrifts around it even in the hieght of Summer. Because that's "warmer" for how bad the winters are. Kinda like how it is depicted in the 2011 calendar.
So, Sean Bean plays Lord Stark of Winterfall...where the hell is all the snow of the tremendously cold, permanently frozen North???? All I see is green in that still. :(
@ratcore: So he's referencing literary crap?
I remember back in Freshman year of college, a girl I barely knew invited me to watch some TV with her. Apparently a few of her other friends were joining her. We had nerded out once or twice before, so I figured why not. Grabbed some soda and chips and headed down to the common room.

To this day, all I remember from that episode was Starbuck killing some guy with a steak knife and the MUSIC. The drums, the horns, the vocals.... The theme had 2 parts, every character seemed to have a tune, every dramatic or tense moment perfectly teamed up with a musical twin to elevate the visual. BSG was more than a show, it was an experience made glorious by the works of Bear McCreary.

I bought every single damn sountrack by McCreary within that first month. I may not watch Battlestar Galactica like a half crazed fanatic anymore but it's - his- music lives on near continual repeat on my iTunes. I guess it would be a kind of nerd and sountrack aficionado wet dream to met him and hang out.
Are IUDs recommended for "obese" women according to the BMI index**? I've read the Pill can be less effective for overweight women, in part due to metabolism. Also, do you know any books or websites that would detail that kind of information? Planned Parenthood's website doesn't seem to have any information on how weight affects contraceptives. Full disclosure, I'm 300+, 22, monogamous, and have never been on/used birth control before since I wasn't sexually active enough to need it. Excepting condoms of course. *(I don't believe in BMI scale, but I'll use it's standards for convenience sake).
Where's snozzleberry pie? Would pwn cherry or Rhubarb.
@GreshamSydor: Caroline is if anything more flawed. The timing and pacing was completely off. It could have used less dialog or simply better editing. I'm a huge fan of Neil Gaiman, but I dunno...the film had many issues to me.
