I guess we both agree that the uprisings are good, but don't have to same idea of long-term success.
From BBC news: "Analysts say that while both al-Qaeda and the West back the uprisings sweeping across several Arab nations, they seek very different outcomes. The West hopes they will lead to democratic reforms, while al-Qaeda wants to see new governments based on their interpretation of Islamic law."
I thought Bin Laden was anti-democracy. And I thought the uprisings were pro-democracy. I've been told that the uprisings are exactly what Bin Laden didn't want to see and that we should be proud... so if we are praising something that Bin Laden is also praising... who is right??? I'm so confused.
I don't understand what made it awkward. It's not like he chose to step over you... someone else made a decision and he took the job, same as you. I don't understand feeling resentment toward him. The boss who made the decision, I would understand.
It's sort of a trick question because as it's worded, I would say Yes. I know what they're trying to derive from that answer, but I'd also answer Yes if it said "between a man and a man, or woman and woman." Marriage is sacred no matter what, IMO.
@PrairieMoon: Well, sure. But when you added "hairy" it brought up all kinds of ugly mental images I don't think anyone wants to see. I'm not going to "prove" it because it really doesn't matter.
