Really, you know someone who didn't absolutely hate Cloverfield? I suppose there must be at least one human. Worst movie ever...
Anyone know where I can locate the first and only season of Otherworld? I recall it being mid 80s (1986?). Thanks!
Real Genius, Buckaroo Banzai, and They Live? Not only classics, but movies that thrive on, embrace, and immortalize they decade they were created in.

That is like asking to remake Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, or 2001 into a 21st century setting.

I commend you for having the boldness to make such a silly suggestion.
Goodbye all! The new site is just so horrible and unusable, I must never return lest I be faced with tearing my eyes out should I ever view the travesty of what a once great site has become when whored out to advertising causes by it's scumbag parent company. Someone somewhere will create a site like the old IO9 and we will flock. In the interim, IO9 and it's gawker overlords will fail utterly and completely, unless they show responsiveness to the user feedback and revolt and revert the page to it's former glory.
You most seriously need to include the Nimrod Hunt (1986) and the revised version called The Mind Pool (1993) by Charles Sheffield. A Good story with very different versions, but they are both good.
Not just a good movie, but a good TV series too!
I am glad to see they are doing Albemuth instead of VALIS. While a bit of a rough novel, I definitely liked it better.
I would Really love for them to make Radio Free Albemuth!! Could be the best PKD movie of them all if done right.
The high Nigel got everytime his consciousness fused with the aerial drone was so intense, it was overwhelming his emotional control centers giving him a better and stronger buzz each time. Suddenly, his visual cortex was inundated with live feeds of someone setting some small green boxes in the ground near the entrance to the fertilizer planet, it was time to infuse some adrenaline and move in for the kill.
I think it's clear that if first contact was to still have ocurred w/ Picard's Enterprise and the borg attack, that events while mildly different from Nero's mucking about, must still be the same enough to send them back to make first contact occur.

And the one burning question I had, where the fuck was the temporal corp from Enterprise (still part of the timeline and trek canon) to prevent this from happening?

What, was Daniels too busy making redi-whip commercials to stop the damage to the time line?

Surprisingly, he is right on almost all counts.
No one needs that talentless Hack Whedon. Perhaps there is some good to come out of this after all!
Seems overly evil to me, but it all depends on the application. Lets hope it stays in the dental office where it belongs, and not into the hands of parents who will use it to pacify their children into compliance.
