Well, I was a faithful follower of io9 until today when I was apparently un-starred for disagreeing with one of the bloggers on your site. (Charlie Jane Anders I think)
The reason I say I think is because there was no reason given for the unstarring or by whom it was done.
So I will no longer be coming to your sites anymore due to this.
To me the new comment system has revealed itself to be simply another way for the authors of your Gawker sites to quietly discredit a commenter without having to ban them or dis-emvowel their comment.
And for the record I have never written anything racist, homophobic, or launched a vitriolic attack on another person.
Apparently all I did was dis-agree with someone in power. But as I said since I was never given a reason, I don't know why.

Well the 7:00 and 7:30 showing were sold out on Friday, for whatever thats worth.
I ended up going to the 9:55 one, and enjoyed the movie.
Perhaps this is a new marketing strategy, lower everyone's expectations so they're pleasantly surprised.

If I have only ever learned one thing from monster/disaster movies, it's never live in a city with a well known land mark.

Fortunately, the Doctor Who theme is one that is REALLY hard to mess up.
Believe me I've listen to alot of remixes and they're not bad. They range from classical to heavy metal versions
