Yeah, and as I always say, you have to adjust for purchasing power. The USD is still relatively weak to the Euro by about 20%. In other words, converting it to dollars makes it look more expensive to American eyes vs. its "native" pricing in EUR.

In any case, it's not uncommon to see nice little add-ons for Euro-market cars to help justify the prices they command--not just the taxes, but the inflated base price compared to the US. #oppositelock

$55,000 doesn't seem like a very good deal

WITH IT. #oppositelock

Great feedback, thanks all..

Except jailbreaking...I suspect IT would catch onto that the first time I called for help. It's their property, after all. #oppositelock

OK, so I just got one of these iPhone things I've been hearing about from time to time. Not having $400 handy (or $150 plus contract), I had to wait until work gave me one. Woo-hoo!

Negative: They want to email and call me at home and on weekends. No biggie.
Positive: I finally have a piece of Steve Jobs' legacy in my hand.

So where does a non-technophile start? eg, basic apps, must-haves, preferably free. #oppositelock

IT PROVIDES TEH DOWNFORCE.

But your Tiburon is FWD. It's not a Genesis.

DOWNFORCE!

How about "TAG MISSING"

I'll collect my $50k consulting fee on my way out.

Yep, it also works as a generic OBD scanner. But you were able to log with it? That's news to me...let us know how it goes. It's a slippery slope for data nerds and car people. #oppositelock
No "The Bee's Chinees" or "Han Shoots First" -- I guess those border on racist. And obscure. #oppositelock
I misread that as the SR-71 from DARYL, so I'm a little bit let down.
When Jalopnik was blocked at my last job, I got my fix by posting a few random blog posts...have a look at let me know what you think. It's sort of like The Onion meets Sniff Petrol. At least, that's what I had in mind.

Can't believe it's been more than a year since I did this...and never shared it with anyone.

Tried to paste something, lost paragraphing.
If it were really nimble they'd call it the Macaque, then use the "Every Soccer Mom Wants Macaque" line in the ads.

Yeah, that's about all the effort I give to the main page anymore. Now I'm going to get 8 replies about how someone's friend was mauled by a Macaque, another guy who claims to be the chief designer and that I'm out of line, and at least two others from PCA who will chide me for making any jest even remotely directed at a Porsche vehicle.

Carry on.

My FWD Passat has equal lengths and virtually zero torque steer. But then again, the B5 platform was designed primarily for Audi quattro and 4motion, so the longitudinal engine makes it easier.

I forget about torque steer until I punch it in other FWD cars. #oppositelock

I didn't want to be the fart in the soup bowl, but I agree.
Typical Florida driver overreacting to things like "turns" and "hills."

I doubt the rain had anything to do with it.

Upper strut brace, not lower subframe brace, right?

On most modern passenger cars, you won't see much difference. I'd focus on maybe finding a rear sway bar if the car doesn't already have one...check the enthusiast forums, since results vary widely by model. Apart from track usage, upper strut braces don't usually do much with today's stiff unibody cars. My $0.02

Much better to save your money for actual suspension work. #oppositelock
