We stayed up for it in Sydney (it ended a couple of hours ago) and it was pretty interesting!
This. So much. He was the Funkiest Monkey there ever was.
Twister? Is that what the kids are calling it these days? Coz I dunno, that cyberman seems a little too into being on top of The Doctor. If you catch my drift.
I'd be infinately more impressed if it was a DOUBLE rainbow. ;p
I second this. I pretty much laughed my way through Paranormal Activity. No scariness there at all!
That was the most brilliant thing ever. lol
I've not read the books with the exception of King's related short story in Everythings Eventual "The Little Sisters of Eluria" which I completely fell in love with. One of my fav short stories of his. (I prefer his short stories) I hope the Sisters get included in the HBO series!
The 2009 Star Trek movie. Does that count? I can't think of anything else.
I've always defined the difference as being that PA world is one that has experienced an apocalyptic event - where the event has occured and life moves on as normal (or not) while a dystopian world is one where there is an alleged utopia with an underlying element of discord.
Yeah I kinda thought that was pretty much almost here now! lol
Yeah apparently it is now. It lasted about half a day before someone noticed and locked it up. I managed to watch it, but a friend who had a look a few hours later missed out. :(
I was surprised the ep was not region locked. Yay for that! We won't get it here in Australia until sometime next year apparently, so I feel a bit spoiled now seeing the pilot! I thought it was pretty good. Not "omg I loved it" good, just... good.
"Plus a new series of shorts called Super Best Friends Forever, featuring Wonder Girl, Supergirl and Batgirl teaming up."

My first reaction was to squee about this, as I love Batgirl. The title has me a bit worried though. Thinking about it, I am worried that its going to be a "oh we're girls so lets focus on makeup and shopping and fashion and boys and lets team up to do a tiny bit of crime fighting on the side together and omg we'll be super best friends forever!!1!" cartoon instead of a "we're girls and we can kick ass and we're friends because we are united against a common foe" kind of cartoon. :/
Yes! And Kate is clearly a comic girl too. This ep told us her first comic was Sin City (at 14), she would be Elektra if she was a comic book character, she is a clearly a frank miller fan (this has been mentioned previously in other eps where she has been shown to have a knowledge of comics), she fawned over Castle's Avengers #1. So much Geek!Beckett in this ep. But you know, lets ignore all that and focus just on castle. *eyeroll*
haha I used to collect those cards when I was a kid....
Its an internet meme thing. Double Rainbow. Some guy's reaction to a rainbow that is similar to the smallville guys reaction. [www.youtube.com]
Double Rainbow all the way!!
"Hugh Grant, starring in his first animated role"

Actually if claymation counts, then it is his second. He was in "Robbie the Reindeer: Hooves of Fire" which was an animated christmas special, done by people associated with Aardman (but wasnt an official Aardman thing). He did the voice of Blitzen in the US voiced version. (Why there had to be a US voiced dubbed version of a UK thing is anyone's guess.)
I have huge issues with books when they don't say they are part of a series. I like to read in order, and I like to read from the start. Even when the novels stand alone, I tend to like to read them in the order the author wrote them. I feel like the author can develop their writing as time goes on, and so reading a later work can cloud your opnion on an earlier one if the later one is much better written. (if that makes sense.)

I also find that when I am at the library, if a novel doesn't clearly indicate that it is book 2 or 4 or whatever, then the library doesn't purchase the earlier novels. Which can be frustrating to discover that there is only book 2 and on available to borrow.
