@Complexified: are you using firefox? I find that Microsoft likes to use a download manager that doesn't work with firefox. I usually use IE (or IE tabs) when I am downloading things from MS.

@BiancaRegillus: Great idea. You could get the same effect with a normally closed push button (ie when you push the button it opens the circuit) that are relatively inexpensive and potentially easier to find (at radio shack) than an old fridge

That is a very nifty use of the accelerometer. It has some practical uses. Hailing a cab is the only one that comes to mind, but I am sure there are others.
I have been a fan of Sawyer's for years. Flash forward is a great book (that I have signed!) and I am excited to see it on tv.
