We don't have a worst commenter. We have a *lot* of best commenters though. #observationdeck
I want this as a bumper sticker... desperately... #observationdeck
Steak dinner and a couple hours watching anime. Or for us to rip up the carpet and put in hardwood floors. #observationdeck
....what did I just watch? Why do I want to make everyone else watch it too? And why, without ever seeing her face, do I think she must look just like Felicia Day? #observationdeck
Perfectly good reasoning. My one personal caveat is that I don't limit what I'll learn from to just one book or philosophy.
After seeing your post and mentioning the recipe, guess what I went and made for breakfast this morning? :) #observationdeck
It's funny, we read so much about other cultures, and then when you get to visit it's like layering a whole other reality on top of the books you've enjoyed for so long. #observationdeck
poached eggs on toast with asparagus on the side.

Poach the eggs. Put them on buttered toast. Steam the asparagus. Drizzle it with lemon juice. Grind up some salt and pepper all over both items. Eat. Optional extra: sprinkle with grated parmesan.

Makes a nice breakfast or brunch. Add in a piece of steak and make it a supper. #observationdeck

...internal editor says "were apart of my life" should be "were a part of my life"

...fangirl says Wow. Ok, I had no idea, and that is *awesome*. Thank you for such a wonderful article! I'd be interested in some of the less mainstream queer stuff, too. #observationdeck

It looks pretty. But I'm not sure about it... It looks like one of those "hey, we're here to mess with your head! And not tell you what's real and what's delusion at the end" movies. Which seem to be really popular right now, but which as an audience member looking for a story, can sometimes disappoint.

The only commenter on IMDB was rather critical of it. #observationdeck

I'm always jealous of how well other people manage video editing. :) And how calm they are in front of a camera. This is awesome! The husband and I definitely want to go to Japan sometime. :)
I agree that the basics of Christianity are probably original (at least in the sense that they weren't straight copies from some other religion), but a lot of the extras are definitely later ad-ons. The virginity of his mother definitely bears resemblance to other virgin-worshiping cults of the time and, given the culture of the region, would be added to lend credence to his holiness and god-touched nature. Ditto a lot of the raising from the dead stuff.
Putting the cult back in culture, then?

There are two definitions for cult, and they're related, which is where the confusion comes in - there's the religious definition and the common-use definition. The common-use definition has definitely got some negative overtones, especially with regards to the coercive nature of their practices.

Oh wow. Thank you for posting this. I've got a real interest in ancient religions, and reading both this and getting a link to an article like that is awesome.
Oh google and deviantart, thou art able to find me an image for *every* conversation.
'cause men are just complete robots when it comes to war. Yeah, no emotions there at all, those stoic, strong, silent guys...

Hey wait, has Santorum got any military experience at all? I haven't seen anyone discuss his combat time.

You forgot we're needed to pose in pointy bras and boyshort underwear whilst wearing lipstick and high heels, so the men can paint us on the side of their fighter bombers.
