Yay thanks. I was originally going to run this rocket blast-off pic but then I saw the cute orbiter pic on a few other sites and got sort of won over by it. But I love the rocket pic a lot.
I'm more just enunciating the principle -- sometimes a sequel really can be better than the original. Not saying Wolverine or Tron Legacy or G.I. Joe are on the same level as TMP.

I still kind of love the Motion Picture... but I don't think it's a great film. Even apart from the huge pacing issues, it's one of those films where it feels like there's less to it than meets the eye. It's basically the "Nomad" episode blown up to unsustainable proportions.
