My iPhone, iPod Classic, iPad and Kindle.

I still need my iPod because my music collection is huge and doesn't fit on my iPhone. I don't want to narrow it down, and even if I did, I prefer to leave room for photos, videos, apps, and app data (like comics in the comic readers, etc.). I also use it as the main source of music in my car, hooked up through a cable in the glovebox (when I'm not using Sirius). While I have Bluetooth for phone calls, having to reach over to check the occasional text message at a stop light, or having to remember to plug it in and unplug it every time I got into and out of the car is annoying. And of course there's the battery life issue.

I carry an iPad and Kindle because I still prefer to read books on an e-Ink screen over the iPad's glossy LCD. Plus, I got the Kindle before the iPad and don't want to let it go to waste. ;) I wonder sometimes if I would have bothered getting one if I had the iPad first...
Vote: Woot

I've never found much appeal or utility, personally, in LivingSocial or Groupon (plus I'm still a bit sour on Groupon since their tasteless Super Bowl ads). The idea of spending a little bit of money on a more money for restaurants and spas and things (which typically seem to be the only things that ever get deals on those sites near me) just doesn't seem worth the effort to me. The only times I ever bought anything from them was 2-for-1 movie tickets on Fandango, or one rare occasion where it was $10-for-$20 of Amazon credit. Otherwise, meh.

Woot, on the other hand, at least occasionally has products that are of use or interest to me, either for myself or as a gift. Shirt.woot is also pretty cool, and deals.woot is great for the social element of letting users point out deals around the net. Plus, the product descriptions are hilarious, as the OP pointed out.
@TheannexationofPuertoRico: I jumped back into reading comics regularly with Batman R.I.P., and I've been hooked on the current direction of things. Many of the Bat-titles from that point forward are out in trade paperback now too, so it shouldn't be terribly difficult or expensive to catch up.
The player is nice, I suppose. Being able to buy the album to stream online for pennies is a cool idea, though it doesn't really appeal to me, since I like to be able to listen to my music away from my computer as well. What does really appeal to me, though, is that their MP3 albums are cheaper than many other places I've found. On a few albums I've bought through LaLa so far, they undercut Amazon, who usually have rather reasonable prices on MP3 albums. So for me, LaLa is someplace else to check out before I buy for MP3 deals.
@paulistain: I would greatly appreciate an invite! My email address is joe (dot) clari0n (at) gmail (dot) com Thanks! #googlewave
@shallnot: Wow, that's a big story! Where does it say that Apple is going to start charging for these? I must have missed that in my first reading of this post. Oh wait, it doesn't? So this is just biased hate and flame-bait? Nevermind then.
@TheMugs: I agree. I'm pretty picky with my manga and anime, but I tore through this series in a matter of days. It's brilliant.
@felixxx999: Agree, I got excited, only to be promptly let down.
Templar, AZ is unique and compelling, and no more than a few strips in, I was hooked. It's really fantastic. Everyone should give it a shot, so long as they're not easily offended. ;)
@razordu30: Starbucks offers up to 2 hours of free wifi every day to registered cardholders who have used their card to reload or purchase something within the 30 days prior: http://www.starbucks.com/cardrewards/
@amcglamry: If it makes you feel any better, I always put away whatever book or magazine I was looking at if I choose not to buy it. Then again, I worked retail customer service for 7 years, so maybe I'm a little more sympathetic than some.
@lukeoneil47: I agree with this. Pricing them lower would mean more comics are actually purchased. The main reason I don't buy comics now is the per issue price. If I absolutely can't live without reading a particular storyline, I'll wait until they compile it into a bound collection, which is both more convenient for storage and cheaper in the long run.

If they priced digital copies at $0.99, I'd be much more likely to buy them as they arrive. Take it a step further, if they offered some sort of season pass or collection pricing, similar to the season pass pricing on TV-shows or album pricing in iTunes, that would be ideal.

@clari0n: To clarify my comment, I mean "(via" as in "(via username)" at the end of the tweet.
Along the same lines as this tip, I would also add "-(via" to the search, since some Twitter clients use that format rather than "RT" by default when formatting retweets.
@TwistedChimp: The irony being that it's most likely the success of The Guild as a web series that helped this pitch get off the ground.
I wasn't sure about this at first, but this is beginning to show a LOT of potential.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I filled mine out, it says I'm eligible to be featured in search results, but I don't show up. Furthermore, no matter what name I search, including "Brian Jones," I see nothing like that screen above. For the record, I am in the US, so that can't be the problem.
@Tachyon0118: Personally, more often than not, I can't find a file that I'm looking for that is being seeded, so my experience is certainly NOT faster download speeds than a server could give me, material that I couldn't get otherwise, or 20 hours a day of great download speeds. And I don't think I'm usually looking for particularly obscure files.

But really, sarcasm is always welcome when trying to prove a point. It really adds to the discussion.

VOTE: Photoshop

I've tried GIMP on both Mac and PC, and I just can't wrap my head around the interface. I'm sure I would eventually get used to it, but I'm comfortable with Photoshop, and really appreciate it's feature set.

My only issues with it are it's resource-intensive nature, which makes it seem like overkill for simple edits, and it's price.

VOTE: Safari 4 beta for Mac

VOTE: Firefox 3.1 beta for Windows

I haven't tried the new Safari on Windows yet, but on the Mac, it runs much faster than Firefox for me, and has some interesting new features that I'm surprised to find myself using.

For Windows, I use Firefox, installed or running from a portable thumb drive on my work computer, for many reasons that will probably be and have been posted ad nauseum on the the web for years now.
