@Adam Whitehead: Your logic is sound Adam. I am hoping that the Others are the reason they kept dragons around in the first place. I guess if they waited for the Others to over-run the North, Jon Snow and Bran wouldn't make it to book seven.
@Adam Whitehead: I think the others will invade in book 6 and Dany's will bring her dragons to Westros to battle them in book 7.
@Starwatcher: The whole theme was "loss of innocence". You don't get that from holding hands! It seemed pretty clear to me that they had to get intimate to save the universe. Then of course, like all the relationships in this series, they had to be separated and unhappy forever after.
@Starwatcher: Having an older Lyra might have made it slightly more palatable when two 14 year olds have sex in the last book. Yuck.
@WookieLifeDay: "why would a god need armor?" The same reason he needs a starship, duh!
@peter.spinale: That is the first thing I thought of too! I need to go build a Lego traction city now.
Did anyone else think that was a picture of the Shrike? I was hoping it was going to be an article about someone filming Hyperion!
This make me think of the Star Wars travel posters in the Disney ride "Star Tours." You pass by them as you stand in line: [www.starwars.com]
@RandomFrequentFlierDent: Stephen Baxter's The Time Ships is another good sequel to The Time Machine. Baxter's Morlocks are the engineers that keep the world working for (or in spite of) the frivolous Eloi.
This makes me want to build my own Dalek. Non-functional, of course...
@hwilam: Ok that trailer is horrible. But the soundtrack is awesome!
Everytime I read one of these articles I run to MG to buy a couple of books. I hope they are doing well!
I'm pretty sure that first one is an image of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, or one of His divine messengers.
@kagekiri: How about the angel sent to destroy Jerusalem. "Then David lifted up his eyes and saw the angel of the Lord standing between earth and heaven, with his drawn sword in his hand stretched over Jerusalem." That's a badass angel.
This guy built a working LEGO version of the tri-star wheeled Landmaster vehicle from Damnation Alley: Does that count?
@LittleDragon: If they were good, they would have created that website in 1968, so it would be ready when the world caught up. #mapofthefuture
I dearly wish for a conclusion to Sterling E. Lanier's "Hiero" novels: "Hiero's Journey" and "The Unforsaken Hiero." I also want a Morse. #books
@njesto: That is the first one I thought of as well! How can he leave us hanging like that! :( #books
