<![CDATA[doctor_cos commented on KFC Hands You Biscuits And Says "Here. This Is Just So You'll Get The Fuck Outta' Here!"]]> I must agree with the others, check the order before you leave. Even when I'm behind folks in the drive through, it doesn't aggravate me when you check your order before you pull through. (It does aggravate me when you can't be bothered to hang up your cell phone and order. If you don't know what you want, don't sit in front of me and stare at the board while gabbing on your phone.)

Our local KFC has done nice things for me in the past, and have been quick to correct any problems which may occur.

<![CDATA[doctor_cos commented on Woody Harrelson Is Final Nail In Coffin For 2012]]> Oh, and I liked Woody in Doc Hollywood, and Natural Born Killers (talk about two ends of the spectrum :)

]]>
<![CDATA[doctor_cos commented on Woody Harrelson Is Final Nail In Coffin For 2012]]> The Core? That was a great movie! The only 'ozone holes' or 'microwave bursts' affected famous landmarks as they cover proportionally more of the planet than say, Podunk, SD.

You want a bad movie? Anything with Tea Leoni, or how about The Reaping?

<![CDATA[doctor_cos commented on Office Depot Makes Up Lame Excuse To Weasel Out Of Price Match Guarantee]]> Office Depot's own coupons always exclude 'Technology' purchases, which is beginning to inlcude everything in the middle of the store (phones, cables, cameras, anything that has anything to do with a PC, etc.). So I am not surprised they would not honor a competitor coupon on 'technology.'

Hey, that's what you sell, isn't it? Not like the 10% coupons from BB whose exclusions I understand (Bose, Krups, etc) because you're not excluding half the store from the coupon!

<![CDATA[doctor_cos commented on How Will Smith Will Save Hollywood]]> I Am Legend? Are you referring to "I Am Will Smith" ??

We actually liked it in the theatre, but when we got the DVD, we liked the 'controversial alternate ending' better.

<![CDATA[doctor_cos commented on Save Money by Taking a State Tax Holiday]]> Florida eliminated the hurricane supplies tax holiday this year altogether, and has gutted the back-to-school tax holiday, trimming it from ten days to one week, and removing books from the tax-free list.

Maybe if people in FL stop voting for every property tax break that gets dangled in front of them we wouldn't be watching the state and counties cut jobs, worker benefits, and close needed facilities and eliminate helpful programs.

But the rich folk need to keep as much of their (and my) money as they can.

It's the card. Chicks dig the card.

]]>
<![CDATA[doctor_cos commented on Lowe's Self Check Out Is Apparently Just A Huge Pain In The Ass]]> @tande04: Yes, there are debit cards that you can get 'reward' points on when you use them as credit cards.

Our Lowe's doesn't have self checkout, but they have 16 registers of which I have seen at the most TWO open at any one time. If there are customers four or five deep at each register, they will ring you up at the 'service' counter.

I don't really see how self checkout is taking anyone's job when the bastard managers at these places can't/won't hire enough people to work as cashiers in the first damn place.

<![CDATA[doctor_cos commented on The 10 Healthiest Beverages]]> What about lemonade? Its got fruit!
@trioxinaddict: You need to watch store-brand generic tea, lots of it is made from powder.
Publix is brewed, Red Diamond is brewed, T.G. Lee is made from mix and tastes like it's made from dirt.

]]>
<![CDATA[doctor_cos commented on Publix Helpfully Suggests That You Shop At Winn-Dixie]]> Many Winn-Dixie stores in FL closed up in a 'cost-cutting' move.
Publix recently bought a couple dozen Albertsons (but not the one close to me) and are supposedly going to change them over to Publix.

Here in this part of FL, you can't swing a dead cat around without hitting one or two Publix stores.
But it's Where Shopping is a Pleasure!

]]>
<![CDATA[doctor_cos commented on Not Even Mini Babybel Cheese Can Escape The Grocery Shrink Ray]]> We have seen this shrinkage at restaurants as well, Cracker Barrel to name one. In this case, I don't see it as a bad thing, as their portions were a little too large to start with. But smaller portions (and smaller plates!) in addition to higher prices is not something I like.

At the grocery store, you either like it or you don't. What bothers me, and several others who have posted, is the appearance of deception. If they make a big deal when they make them larger, 'fess up to it when you make it smaller. You would gain my respect and probably keep me as a customer.

Now excuse me, I have a glass of $4.19/gal milk I don't want to go bad whilst I type.
Thank goodness the oil companies aren't gouging us or anything.

<![CDATA[doctor_cos commented on Procter & Gamble: Pringles Are Not Potato Chips]]> Even better: [en.wikipedia.org]
Wikipedia calls them cake and I am not making this up.

]]>
<![CDATA[doctor_cos commented on Procter & Gamble: Pringles Are Not Potato Chips]]> I'm not sure how Pringles are not 'made from the potato' as the first ingredient on the can is "Dried Potatoes." I believe that ingredients are listed in order of the overall composition, so there are more 'dried potatoes' than 'Vegetable Oils' (the #2 ingredient).
By this argument, pretty much all 'potato based' foods contain chemicals and would be exempt from this tax.

Excuse me, I'm going to have a tuna sandwich with a slice of cheese food :)

<![CDATA[doctor_cos commented on BBB Says MyGallons.com "Omitted Fact" In Advertising, Has No Contract To Process Transactions]]> @ColoradoShark: I don't think "material omission of fact" is by definition, lying. I think this term would more refer to not revealing everything about a deal (especially the bad parts), while 'lying' would be statements known to be false (lacking in factitude).

Of course, we learned this from Star Trek.
