Probably , but it'll get canceled before there's any sort of resolution. The creators will hold out for a straight to dvd/miniseries/comic/webcomic or just plain series of postcards deal , so it'll just end on a cliffhanger. I hope I 'm wrong though. Man! I hate being cynical but I've been burned to many times...
sigh ...there's times I wish there was an international version of IO9 'cos articles like these remind me just how US centric it is.That films been out months over here (Ireland and UK release date was OCTOBER)Reviews were 'meh' for it.
As a husband I can say , if my missus made me go to any of the 'twi-shite' films with her , I'd fake a seizure to get out of having to sit through it too....')
Never mind whatever's happening in Terra Nova? why are they using the music from 'Battlefield 2142 (the Shuhia Taiba map)in that interview clip ? Not that I'm complaining , it had a great soundtrack [youtu.be]
I was hoping that bender would end up becoming totally omniscient, transcend space and time and end up being the "God" from "Godfellas" that past Bender spent a lot of the episode talking to( the "When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all." guy) . But this was still good.
...and that people , is why modern TV is basically fucked. Its product , not art , fair enough , but when people who only understand money , and not what makes good television are in charge , you're going to get this kind of idiocy. The future is a never ending stream of banal reality , lame talent contests, identikit police dramas and a self perpetuating cycle of genre shows that viewers are afraid to commit to because they'll be canceled within a season. Imagine a T V executives well tailored shoe stamping on a viewers face...forever...
'Who absorbing torchwood? Wouldn't that be the equivalent of finally scraping a that last bit of dog crap off your shoes , then merrily jumping feet first into a the biggest turd you find on the pavement. ..yeah , basically I'm saying I think Torchwood is shit..
".. a premature reboot of Green Lantern featuring Guy Gardner (yeah yeah, I'll keep dreaming), " ah yeah that'd be awesome. I mean we'd be the only 2 that went to see it , which means its worldwide box office take would be about 20 dollars (30 if I get some popcorn and a drink)....but it'd be GREAT! (..and if they had the Red Lantern Corp as the villains I'd go see it twice more , thereby doubling their revenue)
Kinda relevant , but E. aka Mark Oliver Everett from Eels is the son of Hugh Everett III who came up with the many-worlds interpretation of quantum theory. There's actually a very good BBC documentary about both his music and his dad's work [en.wikipedia.org]
