Its product , not art , fair enough , but when people who only understand money , and not what makes good television are in charge , you're going to get this kind of idiocy.
The future is a never ending stream of banal reality , lame talent contests, identikit police dramas and a self perpetuating cycle of genre shows that viewers are afraid to commit to because they'll be canceled within a season.
