@smurph0404: Yep. Cryptomundo cracked this a month ago. [www.cryptomundo.com]
I hope Zelazny's estate got a payout.
Alternately, a bunch of kids found a sloth which had drown and bloated, and from which the hair had rotted off in the water before washing up on the shore.
As I understand it, Tessa feels she's been treated damn shoddily for many years. She's now in a economically profoundly invidious position, and I think she feels she has little choice but to take this course of action.

And I, for one, don't think Phil would have approved of someone he loved so dearly being forced into such a bad state of affairs.

I wish Tessa every success.

@ManchuCandidate: @ManchuCandidate: THis has all happened before, and will happen again ;}P>
So, Daybreak Pt.2 was great, but when are they showing the Finale?
Daybreak Pt.2 was good, but when's the Finale on, again?
Hee. I think you're on a winner with this one!
Not a new story. 3 or more years old. And inconclusive at that. Probably a rhino.
@Daveinva: Funny you should say that. I'm guessing this very post was inspired by this post from Wondermark about his "upcoming" novelization......
Whenever I see a link in an io9 story, I automatically just highlight it and Google it, because your links are just to your own site tags, and that's not helpful if I want background... and *helpful* is suppose to be what in-text links are for, not *self-promotional".

Why the hell can't you link to imdb or wikipedia or the actor's official site in your in-text links?

If you're pissing me off with this, you're bound to be pissing other folks off as well.

Where is the "Pseudoscience" here? This is a good demonstration of science in action, disproving a hypothesis.

Your tagger needs to wise up.

Original "Dark Haired Girl" Tessa's book is available here along with her personal memoir of her married years, The Dim Reflection of Philip K. Dick, and this is Tessa's blog.

I recommend all three.

@Annalee Newitz: Nope. If he was, Cavil would have gutted him the second he had a chance.
Colonel Percy Harrison Fawcett may well have sighted one of these in 1907 in the Amazon.
Nah, it's viral marketing for Back to the Future 4! ;}P>
I'd give the Cylon Bible for a copy of Grace Park! ;}P>
...the timid Harriot's contributions to early astronomy are coming to light.

No offence, but if he never publshed his work, then surely his contribution to "early astronomy" wouldn't actually be anything at all...?

One has to point out that Wilson seems happy to put a story he does not own online, while still using the fact that he does not own it as a debating point.

@TransFat: "I would not go as far as to say he is humble." I do not see why a humble man cannot acknowledge something in such a way. Wilson may or may not be humble, but the datum you cite do not diagnose the condition you allege.

Some folks here seem happy to lay into Wilson. I would wonder how many of them can claim to have achieved anything like the level of writing proficiency Wilson has demonstrated over the last 30 years? Let alone had any their works thought worth adapting into other media.

I am not saying Wilson should be immune from criticism. But I am saying there's a difference between criticism and the baying of donkeys.

@drjon: To be honest, I've always found the Viral explaination to lack substance. It's far more likely to be a simple hoax, amongst other more reasonable explanations.
