Zarmina? Kind of a disappointing name, y'all.
Most of us in the biz are nail-biting wrecks to see whether this will turn out a staggering masterpiece or an utter trainwreck. Either way it'll be magnificent to behold.

Consider Taymor's other work: The Lion King, Titus, Across the Universe spring to mind, which were hardly Fosse-and-sparkle-tights-belt-fests. And Eiko's other design credits include Bram Stoker's Dracula and The Cell, both of which at least LOOKED awesome, inventive, and surreal.

It'll also have to run for what is it now, three years at full capacity just to break even? Whatever the outcome, this is going to be some serious shit.
@Exploriens: A wide-brimmed black picture hat. Crushable, no less. I'm fucked.

But I'll make a stylish zombie.

Anyone care to hook a lady up with some urban fantasy recs? I'm sifting through the tags but I'd appreciate a, ah, personal touch.

@Infernorhythm: I'm still sore they left out Alan Rickman's ultimate For Your Consideration moment at the end of HBP. Just...naw, dude.
@Skarl: I've got to get up for my internship in 5 hours and sleep is evading me.

My internship is with the wardrobe dept. of a TV show, which is very physical work, so I guess I plan on defeating, uh, my own body.

@Super_Kitten: I think it's less 'meek' than 'pro ballerina' which almost always means very very thin.
@ScavengerMonk: Agreed. Across the Universe was a sad, sad thing, but Titus is a fucking masterpiece. I think she's in her element with this one.
The only two fall movies I'm excited about: Helen Mirren with a machine gun and Helen Mirren with a magic cloak.

What this says about me, I don't know.
@Emperor_Kestrel: ooooooh I'd watch that movie.
Very excited for this movie. Pro ballet is a really insane, artifical world full of hyper-self-sacrifice and it's perfectly suited to Aronofsky.

I don't know how I feel about that poster though...
@Krakenstein: She's smaller than usual in this movie (for obvious reasons) and it's really bringing out the angles in her face. She looks more like Swank and Garner.
@salthegeek: Oh and apparently a tutu I made as my final project is a prominently featured piece of set dressing in the costume shop scene.

...the conclusion you may draw from this is that I'm famous.

@salthegeek: They shot this at my school and in the costume shop where I worked every day. I've been waiting eagerly for the trailer, it looks awesome and very trippy.

Hopefully the movie will be worth all the crazy disruptions haha!

@WookieLifeDay: No. He's cool. And in the real world (not Hollywood world) he's fairly handsome.

Don't fuck with Flash at flip cup. Brilliant!
@bluehinter: I might be even more excited about this than about the futuristic Ring Cycle at the Met. Daaaaaaaymmmm. Love that literature!
