Yes, I was aware of the falsity of the statement. And I would settle for an unannounced rewrite sans formal correction. But to let that ridiculous statement stand is absurd.
"The Romans were such fans of the flavor enhancer that they even put it in sweets like custard. They also died off in droves, so anyone who wishes to recreate garum Roman-style — don't do it."
Garum killed droves of Romans? News to me.
Marvel Studios has their own line of credit and is firewalled away from Disney Studios - none of this info is in any way relevant to what films Marvel may or may not produce. And with "Scott Pilgrim" poised to conquer the world, EW will be able to make what he wants, where he wants.
Tackle a Culture in Crisis story? Face another superpower? Didn't anyone here read Excession? And Banks has all ready stated that Windward is a sequel to Phlebus.
Strange definition of "forgotten" since most of these cartoons - whether in parody form or straight repeat - have all been seen repeatedly since the sixties. And have also appeared as action figures, on retro merch, on DVD, etc, etc. A google of Space Ghost alone shows he is far from forgotten.
throw in, not "through in."
whereas what's really troubling is the fact that no one objected to this syntactical nightmare : "and who are at least between 18-24 years of age".

at least?

and at most, what 9-99?

what's wrong with the pithy , correct and age discriminatory "and who are between 18-24 years of age."

at least.

please.

13 Colonies

13 Models, not 12

There is still a reveal left. As if we didn't know.

Kill Hiro, Kill the Show
@dwiff: Oops. Should have kept reading. Apologies.
"By the time Asimov succumbed to kidney and heart failure"- actually Asimov succumbed to kidney and heart due to HIV infection. As his status as an AIDS victim was suppressed for 10 years after his passing against his own wishes, lets not continue it due to lazy research.
"One of the most loved New Titans characters in the 1990s"

uh...no.

"heist flicks work better with shinier cars and newer cameras" is as bad an attitude as complaining about remakes with new "hipper" casts.

Or does the fact that there are few decent modern heist flicks not register?

@Kaila Hale-Stern: @Kaila Hale-Stern: Strange that they said that - Lou even lobbied the producers of the show for years to get them to allow the Hulk to talk.
And then he finally got to do Hulk's voice on the cartoon, many years later.
So someone up there was confused...
anyway thanks for the info, it's a nice gesture to include Lou on Marvels part.
The name alone in the credits will get the audience cheering.
"Ferrigno has a slight speech impediment and the voice for any Hulk dialogue on TV was dubbed."

Lou is partially deaf - that's the reason for the 'slight speech impediment.'

TV Hulk never ever spoke. There was no dubbing over.

Later on however, Lou's voice was "dubbed" onto the '90s cartoon Hulk...so he's done the voice before.

It's speed. NOT coke.

Get your snorts right, dammit!

@Charlie Jane Anders: We try to gently take the shovel away, and yet there you go, still digging.

Not interchangeable.

And, actually a text book fact check error, "per se" even. It's not a typo. It's an error.

@Charlie Jane Anders: Don't you know? Isn't that something covered by your "fact check"?
They've been in a total of 2 movies together.

They are a decade apart in age.

They have had very different careers, on and off screen.

There is very "interchangeable" about them, save that they appeared in 2 movies together over 30 years ago.

And it IS a fact check issue. "Checking" and getting it wrong really isn't an excuse, is it?

Seriously, falling back on "whatev, nerds" probably isn't the best defense on a nerdcore site, is it?

And since this is io9, here's a big fact that separates them - Redford was on Twilight Zone, Newman wasn't.

Newman, not Redford. Just to be clear.
