granted I don't watch the show but the clip seems to be portraying Vampirism as an addiction. Of course gay conversion therapy may treat homosexuality the same way.... I guess, like the rest of the internet, I really have no idea what i am talking about
We get it. People don't like the new Catwoman and Starfire. They are sexiest. Fine. Don't buy them and for the love of god don't show them to your kids.
I personally don't like the Teen Titans cartoon. I think it is silly and poorly done. If someone were to ask me I would say it was bad. But it probably isn't I just don't like it or the way it portrays the heroes I thought I knew. But this little girl seems to love it and has found a role model in it. Good for her. She can watch to her hearts content and instead of telling her how wrong the characters are or how in continuity cyborg would never act like that I will just consume what I think is good and let the little girl enjoy her cartoon.
I don't want to belittle the debate about female prtrayals in comics or female role models. I have a 4 tear old daughter and it kind of broke my heart when she said that she didn't like superheroes because they were all guys. But you know what I did instead of cursing the darkness? I turned on the light and showed her all of the cool female superheroes.
To beat a dead horse, I find Playboy to be degrading to women and the same as any other form of pornography. Instead of spending all my time deploring the state of our culture in which such a magazine gets printed I just buy Time instead.
If we really want to change the world in any way we cannot just point out what is bad, we have to celebrate what is good. I haven't looked recently but it seems that the sales of Catwoman were going up based on all of this negative press. Maybe if we talked about the new Wonder Woman or how Action Comics was great we could sell more of those.

did you actually watch the movie? I felt all of your complaints were addressed by the film. whether they are accepted by the viewer is entirely up to personal preference i guess.

Maybe the PR people should have waited a little longer before saying this was definitely not the story. from the reaction here it might be better than what Scott does come up with.
